7LineFan Posted March 22, 2011 Share #1 Posted March 22, 2011 Went to 23 St today as I was going to school and took this. More for messing around with the camera than anything, but last week at about the same time they still had the Ely Avenue signs up. It also appears that they will leave the Ely Avenue mosaics as they are, as they should.
via White Plains Road Posted March 22, 2011 Share #2 Posted March 22, 2011 Real nice....they probably not going to remove "23rd Street-Ely Ave" out of the mosaics unless they plan the renovate the entire station, but we'll see!

Amtrak7 Posted March 23, 2011 Share #4 Posted March 23, 2011 The letters in the look disproportionally large in comparison to the size of the circles...

lilbluefoxie Posted March 23, 2011 Share #8 Posted March 23, 2011 Thanks They'd better not. 23 St is still in the name. its probably easiest to just make up a regular black and white MTA sign and mount it over it
7LineFan Posted March 23, 2011 Author Share #9 Posted March 23, 2011 its probably easiest to just make up a regular black and white MTA sign and mount it over it Yes, but it wouldn't look good at all. They should just leave it as it is.

I don't mind them using Helvetica Neue, but thin? Come on, guys.
