From the looks of things as you go past, two years is very, very generous.

But Cortlandt Street is also cerebrating it's 15th Anniversary - closed...

Also, the FEIS needs to be updated.

They don't even think about it because of NIMBYs.

Could you elaborate? What are NIMBY's?

There was a R68A in service on the (N) today... surprised to see it running on Saturday, another 68A (N) set was laid up at Astoria Blvd, so the (N) has at least two sets of SMEE cars.

The (N) was seeing R68As all this week (nothing new really). I usually find an R68 (N). Probably saw the R68A 3 times when I was going to class.

Is the (R) 100% R160 on the weekends? That's like the only time I ever see them and when I do, there are no R46s to be found.

It's shuffled, on weekdays, there's very few but on weekends, there isn't that many trains running so what's left is used on the (R)

Anybody know anything about the status of ADA renovations/elevator installations at 23 St (6) and Lefferts Blvd (A)? Both projects were scheduled to be finished last month, but I haven't heard any news about the elevators at either station going into service (like an MTA press release), so I'm assuming they're delayed like usual.

NIMBY's is a acronym which means Not In My Back Yard.

Oh. Like the people who yammer "git off my lawn!" [emoji13]

R46s are always on the (R) on weekends.

Not this past weekend. In fact, I was on an (N) using R68 cars. O.O

What the hell does R68 (N) s have to do with R46 (R) s?

Yes there was, I rode the subway the past weekend and personally SAW MULTIPLE R46s on the (R) .

Because (N) trains are usually run as R160 cars, and it was unusual to see an R68 car as an (N). I know they are different builds, but dimension wise they have a lot in common. I often confuse the two.

The comment I quoted is in tandem with my response.

And based on signage and past comments, the R46 cars were refurbished with technology that brings their flair into the late 70s to early 80s, about the same age as the R68 cars.

I'm not saying there wasn't. In September 11th, 7 out of 10 (R) trains I glanced were R160 cars.

You're probably right. Everyone's vantage point seems to veer off but of course I believe you. Not like I can make shadow clones of myself to verify everyone's claims.

I have to have faith and trust that we all have different yet legit scenarios. If I want to proofread others I'll join a newspaper column.
