MTA Bus Posted November 4, 2016 Share #14051 Posted November 4, 2016 Will the (W)s that start at 86th start at CI, Bay Parkway or some other stop due to the construction? I'm specifically asking what stop they'll start at, if anybody knows. Bay Parkway.

MichalkaManiac Posted November 4, 2016 Share #14054 Posted November 4, 2016 You guys do know they just used the old 2009 map and changed the front cover and Times right? Another note, the Franklin map was updated to show "Now express service in Brooklyn." What does that have to do with the ? Other then that, every timetable has been updated except for the . I don't know about the Brooklyn , but the "(B) express" mention had been used on the (Q)'s timetable since October 2011, when express in Brooklyn was reinstated after 2 years, and only has finally removed with this week's timetable update on the .

Interested Rider Posted November 4, 2016 Share #14061 Posted November 4, 2016 Has anyone seen mother nature in all her glory on the Brighton Line? Yesterday I was on a southbound B from Kings Highway to Sheepshead Bay and the colors were truly fantastic. What people pay big money to see this far, far from our city fail to see that all they have to do is ride the subway for the same thing.
Caelestor Posted November 4, 2016 Share #14062 Posted November 4, 2016 headways are decreased from what? 10 minutes? 12 minutes. As you can imagine, there has been some serious overcrowding on the in recent years. This change gives the a 50 percent increase in weekend service and puts it on par with the .

Porter Posted November 4, 2016 Share #14065 Posted November 4, 2016 Does anyone know what year the began releasing PDF maps online? More importantly, does anyone have the first one? I only have a 2008 edition.
Lance Posted November 4, 2016 Share #14066 Posted November 4, 2016 The MTA started releasing PDF maps way back in 1997. You can find a lot of them through the Wayback Machine using the address mta.nyc.ny.us for pre-2001 maps.
Around the Horn Posted November 4, 2016 Share #14067 Posted November 4, 2016 There used to be some ®s that dropped out at Canal. When did that stop? I rode one of them. They were extended to Whitehall sometime after 2008 and I assume they have been extended to Bay Ridge due to the late night extension of the . Typically during the 11 PM hour, trains leaving Bay Ridge have already started the shuttle service, while there are still trains towards Bay Ridge from Manhattan, along with the ones to Whitehall. Now that the late night also ends at Whitehall, the middle track is no longer available for them.
BronxBombers Posted November 4, 2016 Share #14068 Posted November 4, 2016 Quick Question, Idk if it was asked. Now since we've heard the R179 propulsion. Where do you guys rank them with the current NTT propulsions? Mines would be: 1. R142a/R143/R188 2. R160 Siemens 3. R142/R160 Alsom 4. R179 (I don't really like it tbh)
bstar1 Posted November 5, 2016 Share #14069 Posted November 5, 2016 R179 propulsion sound they were trying to be different.
BronxBombers Posted November 5, 2016 Share #14070 Posted November 5, 2016 R179 propulsion sound they were trying to be different. Yeah they are trying but it sounds like a propulsion you would hear in other metro systems. At least the other NTT propulsions that we have sounds unique.
Tonyboy515 Posted November 5, 2016 Share #14071 Posted November 5, 2016 (edited) For me, it's: 1. R142A/R188 and R143 2. R179 (I feel like it's a mix of Siemens and MITRAC 1580C) 3. R160 Siemens 4. R142/R160 If the R110A would count, I would put it as #2.
