Calvin Posted February 6, 2017 Share #14926 Posted February 6, 2017 (edited) ---- Also, did anyone see R62A #'s 2221-2225 (I think) on the with the red stripes under the car-number decals? Why is the using train R62As without the LEDs? Either a loan or it's theirs. Besides that, the has 1 R62 train to cover 2221-5 with 2346-50. --------------------------------- Also: R62/A list: : 1406-1410, 1431-1434/1438, 1456-1460, 1826-1830, 1841-1900, 2156-2220, 2226-2345, 2351-2475 : 1301-1405, 1411-1430, 1441-1455, 1461-1625, 42 St Shuttle: 1927-1933, 1935-1937, 1940-1941, 1945-1946, 1950-1953, 1955-1956 : 1651-1825, 1831-1840, 1911-1920, 1943-1944/1947-1949, 1961-2145, 2151-2155, 2221-2225, 2346-2350 : 1901-1908, 1910, 1926, 1934, 1938-1939, 1942, 1954, 1957-1960 - single units, 1921-5, 2071-5, 2081-5, 2091-5, 2146-50 Edited February 6, 2017 by CH3348

RestrictOnTheHanger Posted February 7, 2017 Share #14930 Posted February 7, 2017 Has anyone else spotted what look like CBTC transponders on the Queens bound tracks of 53rd St and QBL local lines? They are all at the front of the platforms at track level.

Around the Horn Posted February 8, 2017 Share #14937 Posted February 8, 2017 The countdown clocks at Bay Ridge Avenue are on! However, they aren't showing times yet. Just the same animated PSA's as the new screens on the R160's and SBS fleet and this screen.

agar io Posted February 9, 2017 Share #14939 Posted February 9, 2017 (edited) Are they expanding these wireless relays to the R46s? It looks like they need to do it to all the rolling stock, or at least the ones with these countdown clocks. I've been seeing them pop up on the 6 Av, 8 Av, Broadway, and QB Lines recently. ---- Also, in regards to CBTC - do all R160 sets, even those without CBTC right now, have CBTC-bypass switches? Today I saw a CBTC-bypass switch inside the cab of 9502. AFAICT, only some of the four-car sets have CBTC. Can the shuttle handle the crowds? Well the Shuttle is only supposed to handle small crowds stuffing all those people on there will be like trying to wear a shoe that can't fit.

danielhg121 Posted February 10, 2017 Share #14948 Posted February 10, 2017 A few days ago, I was on a n/b train and we pull into 161st street. Then, the conductor announces the skipped stops to burnside avenue, with the last one being 174th,(first blunder), just before burnside, she announces the train will be making all local stops afterwards. Then, at burnside, you can hear the ding! But no msg. So afterwards, we pull off and she announces once again, we r skipping all stops to bedford avenue(haha I died). I guess she meant to say it at burnside but didn't hear herself saying it, like how do u not hear ur voice announced. But it sounds like she must be a new conductor. And it also sounds like there was a lot of radio chatter where she was probably trying to find out what stops she's to make from Rail Control. In other words, she was probably just having a bad half-trip. Sent from my LGLS755 using Tapatalk

I saw them on the Crosstown Line too, but I forgot to mention it. The MTA doesn't seem to need that many CBTC trains on the , though, because they keep appearing on the . I see them basically every other day when I catch the at either Woodhaven or Met Av.
