So the Bronx is losing service because of their construction? That sucks.

At Beverly Road (2)(5), this man was being escorted out of the station by the police in handcuffs. He looked maybe 20 or younger

All this week and earlier, now that I think about it, I've been seeing as light insurgence of flatfeet all over the Nostrand Av line. :P

The (4) isn't running in Brooklyn this week, more construction on the express tracks at Franklin Ave (if they're working on the signals then I approve)

At Atlantic, the Brooklyn-bound (2)(3) platform was damn packed, but what do ya expect?

I was riding R160 #8732 on the (Q), it's an A-Car (meaning it has a cab) and strangely it still had seats right next to the cab in the wheelchair spot. I don't remember the last time I saw wheelchair seats next to the cab in an R160 Car

I dunno if anyone had any problems with the (D) at Pacific this evening rush, but when I got off my (R) at Dekalb, i saw a (D) across the platform. First i thought maybe it was filling in for a (B) or something happened on the 4th av express. So I took the (D) and we ended up on the local track at Pacific and there was another (D) [empty] across the platform and a ton of people on the platform. So I get off and then the empty (D) leaves the station, but i have no idea what was wrong with it [R68# 2500].

I just have to say I am so happy the (5) runs to FB all day now. I get to Atlantic and miss a (3), i see from the display the next train is going to be a (3) followed by a (2). Since I figure it doesn't matter till Franklin, I get on that (3) and get to Franklin just in time to see a (5) pull in. I get on that and head home. I can't imagine how bad it was going to be on that (2) that followed.

So yesterday I picked up my sis at Port Authority. It was after midnight as we waited at Times Square for the Brooklyn-bound (2).... because the (1) was terminating at 42nd St, daytime (2) and (3) service was local... my mom totally missed the poster, even though it was right in front of her. lolz

Anyway, a (3) train comes in on the downtown express track, terminating. People get on, presumably missing all the signs saying "Times Sqaure, Manhattan" instead of "New Lots Avenue, Brooklyn"

The doors close, and the train just sits there.

In the meantime, the (2) comes in on the local track, I get on, and it leaves.

The (3) train is still sitting in the station, I never find out what happens to those people still on it.

Anyway, my stomach is killing me, but I hold out until I get home. There's a lesbian couple sitting on the row of seats across from me [not afraid to indulge in some P.D.A.], so that's all fine and dandy.

These other two girls are headed to Chambers St, for some movie or party or something, but they almost get at Christopher St because of the LOL-worthy strip maps for the (2) train. I set them straight, though. As I'm drawing in my book randomly, one of the girl notices my subway map hoody, and asks me if I got it from the Transit Museum. I don't fully remember, but I don't see where else it could come from. They ask me where I'm headed, and I tell them "Brooklyn", because I am. So they thank me and leave at Chambers.

My mother was sitting opposite me [next to the couple I mentioned earlier], I wonder how she felt seeing me talk to some random girls on the train, lol

At Franklin Ave, the countdown clock said the next (4) to New Lots was right behind us, lolz. And appearently the next (2) was only 25 minutes away (although another station said it was 27 minutes)

At Beverly Rd, some women were washing the platform, using hoses connected to a truck on street level. They looked like they were having fun :D

Oh yeah, I was on an R68, I think 2594 or 2584, don't remember exactly but it was a cab car. Appearently it was made by Alsthom. B) That's what the plaque inside the car said!

And at the Grand Central Transit Museum store, there were shirts for almost every individual line, including the friggin' (T), but there were no (5) train shirts (which is only my favorite line in the system) There were (1), (2), (3), (4), (6), and (7) shirts along with a ton of lettered line shirts, but no (5) train shirts. Needless to say, I was sad panda. And disappoint. At the same time. I was a disappoint sad panda.

Anyway, there was an MTA guy in the cab (I was in the last car of the train) but he randomly got out at Beverly Rd although he didn't actually get off the train.

Anyway my C/R on the (F) train put someone on blast for pressing the emergency intercom w/o saying if it was an emergency or not...he got the passengers involve for taking a picture of person who was pressing the button for no reason!

lol, good. I don't blame the c/r for being pissed off at all. One time a kid [5-6 yr old] pressed it and then his dad had to apologize for it. After that, no fuss. But they probably should be enclosed the way those emergency breaks are by those 'alarm covers'. It's too easy to accidentally push it and sometimes abuse it.

As I was on the (C) this morning I decided to take a peek of the operating cab out of boredom. Sure the train was moving but the speed meter just read "0". I know that "back then" many m/m had no other choice but to operate by feel and many do today but wow...

lol, that reminds me of the time I was looking into the cab of a NB R46 (R) train Court St-Whitehall Street. The spedometer was all whack. When he was going ~25 MPH in the tube, it read 0. When he was going really slow entering the station, it read 98.

~1 & 1/2 hours until it is officially Court Square-23 Street!!
