No offense, but was this from the tooth fairy?

A little bit of a warning...

The R46s currently on the (G) will stop running soon. August 17th is supposedly their last day on the (G)

So, if I do say so myself, get your pics while they last people!

One word: PROOF?

Despite recent events, I'm relatively sure he's on it on this one. For public sourcing see here:

http://travel.mtanyct.info/serviceadvisory/routeStatusResult.aspx?tag=G&date=08/14/2018&time=&method=getstatus4

Of course, this is subject to the normal disclaimers about car assignments and human fallibility, but again, this aligns with what I've heard.

That's the last day of my internship. I'll take the (G) all of Next week,

Though the others are right about you lacking proof

How the hell does the (4) on a 16 minute headway fall behind schedule to the point where they have to do battery runs, resulting in nearly hour-long waits (and God forbid you have to double back uptown... it’ll take you 90 minutes just to do a Fordham to Woodlawn trip!)

No wonder Uber is eating the (MTA) ‘s lunch. For an hour long wait I’d get a BxM4 or a Metro-North for a couple of dollars more and still get a seat.

This is why I avoid the (4). Everytime I get into Woodlawn to go take the W20, a herd of passengers wait for the bus and fill the sidewalk to the point where you forget your even standing on the sidewalk.

Then they all get off at the casino 🤣.

Sometimes I go during the weekends to that casino, but I take Metro-North to take advantage of their travel package and their semi express trains. (get off at Mount Vernon West and take a casino shuttle or W7)

its a bit more circuitous, but it’s much more sane, and those weekend semi express trains literally carry air because they only go to Crestwood (they stop at Fordham then straight to MVW and all stops after that.)

The M finally has a 96th Street-2nd Av program! Going to 96th it says:

M 96 ST-2 AV

M MYRTLE AV LOCAL

M 6 AV LOCAL/63 STREET

The FIND box says:

6 Av Local

96 St-2 Av

Via 63 St  (M)

Coming back from 96th Street the outside sign says:

M METROPOLITAN AV

M VIA 63 ST/6 AV LCL

M MYRTLE AV LOCAL

The FIND box just says:

6 Avenue Local

Metropolitan Av  (M)

And for the announcement it is spliced from the (Q) announcement.

The (M) to 96th St program is horrendous. They have gotten lazy with these new programs, I.E (F) to 179th St via Broadway.

Whatever happened to putting "This is a 96th St-2nd Av bound (M) train, via the (F) line." And "This is a 96th St-2nd Av bound (M) train via the (Q) line." Its better to be clear as to where a route is going then just putting "(M) train".

Also, for you announcement buffs, the current (M) to 96th St announcement is spliced from the (Q) and the original Brooklyn-bound (M) announcements.

People don't even listen to announcements like that anyways. Better for conductors to announce trips imo.

At least the voice is the same. Also you really expect the MTA to record announcements for every new reroute popping up now?

Green used to be UnionPort/180th yard correct?  I remember Green boxes on R26/28 and 29's back in the days.. The (6) was yellow IIRC.

Green was originally the (2) fleet out of 239th yard while the (5) was black striped based out of East 180 yard. The fleets were swapped prior to the arrival of the R142 cars.
