MysteriousBtrain Posted August 10, 2018 Share #19332 Posted August 10, 2018 (edited) There is confirmation of the R46s leaving the by August 17 via my sources from inside. Not revealing them so believe what you will. One 4 car set already returned to Pitkin. Edited August 10, 2018 by MysteriousBtrain

R68OnBroadway Posted August 10, 2018 Share #19335 Posted August 10, 2018 What programs are good for creating stuff like custom track maps and editing/creating NYC subway maps? Trying to find a program to help draw out a plan for lines to eastern Queens.

paulrivera Posted August 10, 2018 Share #19338 Posted August 10, 2018 How the hell does the on a 16 minute headway fall behind schedule to the point where they have to do battery runs, resulting in nearly hour-long waits (and God forbid you have to double back uptown... it’ll take you 90 minutes just to do a Fordham to Woodlawn trip!) No wonder Uber is eating the ‘s lunch. For an hour long wait I’d get a BxM4 or a Metro-North for a couple of dollars more and still get a seat.

Then they all get off at the casino 🤣. Sometimes I go during the weekends to that casino, but I take Metro-North to take advantage of their travel package and their semi express trains. (get off at Mount Vernon West and take a casino shuttle or W7) its a bit more circuitous, but it’s much more sane, and those weekend semi express trains literally carry air because they only go to Crestwood (they stop at Fordham then straight to MVW and all stops after that.) NYCSubwayFanatic16 Posted August 11, 2018 Share #19343 Posted August 11, 2018 (edited) The M finally has a 96th Street-2nd Av program! Going to 96th it says: M 96 ST-2 AV M MYRTLE AV LOCAL M 6 AV LOCAL/63 STREET The FIND box says: 6 Av Local 96 St-2 Av Via 63 St Coming back from 96th Street the outside sign says: M METROPOLITAN AV M VIA 63 ST/6 AV LCL M MYRTLE AV LOCAL The FIND box just says: 6 Avenue Local Metropolitan Av And for the announcement it is spliced from the announcement. Lawrence St Posted August 11, 2018 Share #19344 Posted August 11, 2018 The to 96th St program is horrendous. They have gotten lazy with these new programs, I.E to 179th St via Broadway. Whatever happened to putting "This is a 96th St-2nd Av bound train, via the line." And "This is a 96th St-2nd Av bound train via the line." Its better to be clear as to where a route is going then just putting "(M) train". Also, for you announcement buffs, the current to 96th St announcement is spliced from the and the original Brooklyn-bound announcements.

Better for conductors to announce trips imo. At least the voice is the same. Also you really expect the MTA to record announcements for every new reroute popping up now? Trainmaster5 Posted August 11, 2018 Share #19348 Posted August 11, 2018 Has anyone checked out the DC Metro repair program being done this month ? Check out the Washington Post site or Google it. How would you compare it to how the NYCT does it here in NYC ? Just curious. Carry on.
