For anyone interested, the 4 car R46 set with 5627 has the side signs stuck to a (K) World Trade Ctr/8 Ave Local reading. Appears to be a malfunction.

The set is currently on the (Q) . Not sure if it is the sea beach put-in or an R46 truly assigned to the (Q)

Yeah, there have been about 10 posts about it on the subreddit in the past week- I recall that the first time it was posted it was on the (Q), so it might be assigned.

Recently, with the OMNY readers installed on the Central Pk West station (145 St), almost all were smashed

I don’t know about you, but at this point, I think there’s somewhat a connection between the smashed OMNY readers and the recent anti-police movement going on lately.

Oh right. I was just thinking that, the riot that is (forgot that happened last week).

Currently, there are two ways to pay you fare to get in the subway (MetroCard or OMNY). Once OMNY completely takes over, what would happen if another situation like this occurs where OMNY readers are smashed/vandalized? People can’t enter the subway???

The reader still works when the screen is smashed

Need more broken “windows” to confirm or debunk broken windows theory. Let’s see where the neighborhood goes then.

This is my list of the best Trains to run on each subway line. These trains were the GOATS on their respective line. When you think of some trains, you automatically think of a certain car type. So in my Opinion, these are the Trains that stand out to me.

The (7) is a special line. All cars that come to the (7) are deeply missed. I do believe that the R188s will be on the same level of the SMEEs that ran on the (7) when they retire.
What do you all think? I would like to see what your All Time Subway Line and Car type combo.

The (A) is the line where old and new is found. I remember the last R40 slant ran on this line and this Wednesday, the R42 will make a round trip appearance between Inwood-207 St and Far Rockaway. Meanwhile, last year, riders were introduced the R179 subway car.

With the recent rise in amount of homeless people on the trains, how much disruption has there been to daily operations and who in ops/other departments are taking notice?

The amount of sick and disruptive passenger incidents has to be having adverse effects on runtimes, OTP, overtime, and other metrics. Not to mention the safety and bio hazards that follow. At what point does management step in and become more aggressive in keeping homeless people out

I remember asking my father a few years ago about why the (A) train has low-tech trains and why the (Q) train had high-tech trains and my father said that my guess is that the (A) train travels longer distances so they don't want to test new technologies on longer distance trains and that shorter distance trains are better to test new technologies on.
