I've used it on the B44 SBS and Q44 SBS machines. On the receipt where is says "Type" it says "Atlantic"

edit:

So I see it's a weekly ticket..... I know that w/ the one way & round trip ones, you have to use them on the same day you purchased them (which I think is stupid, but w/e).....

Outside of a defective machine, I can't think of anything immediate as to why your ticket got rejected.

Yeah, the one way Atlantic Tickets are like weekday City Tickets basically,  Just for LIRR. Only the Weekly Atlantic ticket has a metrocard on the back.

Yeah maybe the machines were mistaken

Did you use the same card on any other bus/subway since this occurred? I once had the same issue with my XBus Plus Unlimited Card, and it killed the card. Had to send it back, which was a whole hassle

I used it on the (J) not too long after, and used it on the subway this morning.

I just realized forgot to mention something, when I first dipped my card in the machine, I didn't pay attention to the screen, I was just waiting for my receipt to come out to grab it, but it didn't.

So, I'm not sure if the machine said "invalid card" the first time, or if receipt just didn't come out and It thought I was trying to double dip.  Would the machine usually say "just used" though like the fare gates in the subway?

I though for the weekly Atlantic tickets you didn’t need get the receipt because the proof is on back. Just like how the uni ticket is supposed to be proof of payment.

That would make sense, but I'm not sure if the Eagle Team is aware of that, they're probably trained to just look for receipts.

This is why Bronx irritates me..... people just love to trash things. In Brooklyn, the XN60’s look amazing, almost as if people are making at a point not to litter...... But not here in the Bronx.

The upside to tonight’s Bx6 evaluates is I got the whole variety. Even a D60 was out here!! That was a sight!

I’ve seen some nasty buses in Brooklyn. Not all the time but usually when it does I can tell school kids always just finished riding it. But this is just horrid etiquette. Some places in the U.S. you aren’t allowed to take food on the bus.

Idk if it’s just me but I think KB has stepped up their maintenance. All the buses I get on are nice and clean LOL.

Edit: Also what is with 5832’s paint job? It’s like someone took a steel wool and tried taking the black stripe off the sides. Homemade decal scheme?

The people that are out here littering on public streets & on public property have no respect for shit that isn't theirs... Can't have much of anything nice in this city...

There's a saying that the eyes are the window to the soul..... Your actions are also a window to your mind.

Case in point, the picture of that bus ENY posted... Would it really shock anyone if these people's living quarters were just as (if not more) filthy as they leave these buses/trains???

It’s likely the same people that don’t pay. Surprise surprise...

I'm shocked that JG's unit haven't gotten trashed yet considering the B35 goes through some of Brooklyn's rougher neighborhoods. Is there a chance we can see a few units go on other JG lines like the B61 and/or B63?

Them dirty people up in the Bronx (some of them) are way worse than anyone along the B35.....

For a few days 5832 was running around completely naked. Once they finally repainted it, they did a bad job...

I'm actually shocked at how clean they are.....

Anyway, I find a good portion of buses in the Bronx are grimy....

...in more ways than one.

I don't ride the local buses much in the Bronx just the ones going to and from Riverdale on occasion and Kingsbridge Depot does a horrible job.  I find that the farebeating is now spreading to the Riverdale lines too, though the South Bronx lines like the Bx6 likely still take the cake.  I was on a Bx7 from Inwood last week I believe (took the (A) from Hudson Heights instead of backtracking to the BxM2) and we get to 231st and Broadway. Back door opens and here are several people getting on the bus. The ones that live in Yonkers... Hadn't seen that previously. The people in Riverdale pay, but we are getting more of the types from the Bronx coming up the hill that want to board and not pay. I'm sorry to say it but it's really certain areas of the Bronx that have the problem, and those people don't live in Riverdale.

I was on the BxM1 coming home to Riverdale from Whole Foods a few weekends ago getting ready for the Super Bowl. This teenage kid is waiting for the Bx10 at 232nd and Henry Hudson Parkway, and thinks he is going to board the express bus at a drop-off location AND not pay. Driver just looked at him like he was crazy, closed the door and kept going.  Something else that has been going on.... Kids coming from down the hill into the neighborhood thinking they are going to not pay, and then they come up here causing problems. We've had the police up here a few times now escorting these obnoxious kids out of the neighborhood.  Can't have anything nice anymore.  Gotta have people trying to destroy the damn neighborhood.

Is 1073 the only one to feature different seating compared to the rest of the XN60 order?

I'm surprised this got by you this long... I did ask way back when the B35  was just started using artics but never got an answer...😞 plus my comment got thumbs downed for even asking...

It might just be for routes that connect with LIRR stations. Some weekly LIRR/NYCT combo tickets (Unitickets) are like that. Like if you have a Kew Gardens to Mineola ticket, some tickets only let you on the Q10 or Q60 but not the Q44 because the latter doesn’t stop in Kew Gardens.

Hows the Atlantic Ticket even supposed to work anyways? Is it supposed to be like a Uniticket (certain routes at whatever stop is on the ticket) or is the MetroCard portion supposed to be unrestricted?

I believe (I could be wrong) Uniticket doesn’t work in Brooklyn.  Although the Nostrand LIRR station is 2 blocks away from the B44 bus stop on Herkimer for SBS and Fulton for the Local.

As for East New York the walk to Broadway Junction is all you need and plus uniticket rarely promoted on any of the East NY bus lines: B12, B20, B25, B83, Q24, Q56.

Random thought of the day: Looks like the Brooklyn Division is starting to receiving L shape wraps on their buses. Spotted a L shape wrap on 4241 (FB). (Pepsi-Cocoa Cola Campaign)

However, no full driver side wraps for the Brooklyn Division (expect Ulmer Park and Spring Creek express buses) . I guess there are rules when it comes to having driver side wraps in the Division.

(It’s hard to advertise with the (MTA)
