DeBlasio, like Rahm Emanuel, is one of those politicos who's great at the campaign stuff and administration staffer stuff but isn't a leader or "politician". He's the "middle manager" who takes orders from the actual leader and does well. But he's never someone in your and my world who should ever be made a District Manager, VP of anything, or a Chief of Staff.

He doesn't have the ego required, nor the passion to have a vision and make it happen.

He could've had a decent political career if he went from city council to the legislature, but he effed around and became mayor and messed up his future.

Maybe McKinsey will hire him.

His work ethic is appalling. His tardiness for meetings should've been a big sign that he wasn't going to be an effective mayor. He shows up LATE to everything.

I woulda made the B/O pull over and if the B/O wasn't going to kick the druggie off the bus, I would be hopping right off. If I wanted to see that ridiculousness I would've taken the subway.

lol I think he fell out on the floor while they were on the expressway. Someone took a photo of it in my group. The driver seemed completely out of their league. He eventually got off at the first or second stop.

I feel like the "rift" between Cuomo and DeBlasio stems partially from this and from Cuomo likely realizing and telling him he isn't a leader - he's a manager, and DeBlasio having a "response".

Look at how Cuomo outmaneuvered DeBlasio with little actual effort non-stop since 2014.

Add to it the PBA posts nudes of his daughter and DeBlasio did nothing? Eunuchs and castratos are more manly than Billy; Anthony Weiner would've been a better mayor.

No it isn't actually correct; far from it..... What they have illustrated as far as that goes is dead wrong.... Eastbound M60's aren't turning off the bridge at 21st street. Stop it.

Yeah, and the SBS stop is still colored blue, even though they changed the color of the M60 line on the map to orange:lol:

Technically, the M60 comes off at 29 Street and not 21 Street. I think they show the southbound coming off at 21 because on the map, the stop is on top of 29 Street, so drawing the southbound line on top would make it confusing.

The problem is that they also forgot to put the stop on the northbound side. They separated the stops at 82 Street but not at 29 Street.

......And it turns out the westbound M60 has gone back to its original stop by the square on Hoyt Avenue, so there is no point at all in having that little deviation.

The PBA didn't actually do this, right? Please tell me that's a hypothetical.

Was actually the SBA and they deleted that tweet but left up the arrest report.

I'm trying to ride the Q111 trip thru Cedarhurst. It used to be five trips in each direction. Now its down to one.

Does anybody know where do youpick up the Q111 towards Jamaica at Rockaway Turnpike. It seems like that stretch of the Q111/114 does not even have signs to note where the bus stops

I thought it was just her ID and numbers.

Some years ago, I was working as a parking attendant for an event and stationed at the employees-only lot. We were given clear instructions that only employees for the event were allowed.

One of these SBA/PBA dupes thought he and his family could park there because he had that membership card. We spent 5 minutes arguing about it, and he insisted he could park anywhere he wanted to, total bs.

So I've never had sympathy for these jackasses.

SE corner of Peninsula/Rockaway.... Being a little more specific, don't wait in front of the gas station though - just wait in front of either of those first two houses & flag the bus or w/e.... That's what I did, just be to be safe.

People talking a page before about how bad parts of Midtown have gotten in the last year or two, but honestly:  the whole area bordered by 23rd and 42nd, Park Ave S and 8th-9th Aves has been like that since the mid '70s.  It's one of those more overlooked parts of Manhattan below 59th that never got cleaned up.

Nobody with any common sense hangs around there longer than they have to, especially after 8 PM on weekdays- it becomes like Escape From New York.  The whole situation that's been going on there for decades now definitely sucks, but until something gets done, it is what it is.

Cool, but nobody here's trying to paint that area like it was so great before the increasingly conspicuous influx of homeless/druggies on the streets though...

I actually never found that area overall to be that bad and I’ve been in that area plenty of times late at night. Within the area you are referring to, the Port Authority Bus terminal, Penn Station, Times Square and Herald Square tend to be the big hot spots for the homeless. You do see a few of them along 7th & 8th Aves as well as Broadway but the more East you go the better it tends to be. What you see even along 7/8th and Broadway in between 42-34th and south of 34th to 23rd streets does not compare to the hotspots I pointed out earlier.

It's much more "in your face" on the west side of midtown than it is on the east....

Eh you'd be surprised; I've seen some serious shit go down on several different occasions in that triangle of blocks between Broadway and Park.  Penn may be the gold-medalist in the cringe category, but that doesn't mean it's the only participant on the podium that is Midtown South.

Kit Kat's > Hershey's anyway.

Seriously speaking though, among many other things, it is this type of increasingly nitpicky attitude from passengers that has had b/o's over the years being/becoming less sociable.... I remember when there was a certain rapport between b/o's & passengers (especially during the PBL days) that was FAR more cordial.... I would never engage in it, but it was good to see from others - and this is coming from the introverted asocialite here.

Although dude didn't take any pictures & was just stating an observation, quite frankly I'm just sick & tired of the whole "Gotcha!" candid camera shit overall (which is how his post came across as being conveyed like).....

Back in the days buses didn't have power steering which kept B/O's in shape. I heard of an B/O who drove old school buses like the fishbowl stayed in shape due to how physically demanding driving those buses were. He started to drive more modern day buses and he got a gut lol.

The thing I'm wondering is, don't bus depots have gyms? I'd rather workout at a depot gym than do pushups on a dirty subway bench in the covid era.

Personally, I wouldn't want to do any exercises on benches or in a gym during a nasty pandemic.

I just canceled my Blink membership a couple days ago cause of covid. Thinking about buying some resistance bands for home workouts.

Speak to us again once you report all of the buses on a weekday rush hour failing to arrive within one minute of their scheduled arrival time at each stop.
