Via Garibaldi 8 Posted September 12, 2013 Share #9076 Posted September 12, 2013 Observation 2: Praise god that the OG I'm on is overheating in the back here, helping to dry me off a little from that huge thunderstorm. Soaked like a wet dog... I'm nice and dry in my office with the AC on.
B36 Via Ave U Posted September 12, 2013 Share #9077 Posted September 12, 2013 I miss the screeching noise that the old C40s used to make sometimes when pulling out of a bus stop. You and me both man, it won't be the same espcially in southern Brooklyn when they used to flood routes like the B68 or B9. The new ones are ok but very dull. And do u know if the last 4 have been retired or not?

I would preserve either 818 or 958, its a shame they are all gone, so they are at ECH or just against the fence at the depot? Yea lets just hope they take care of their preserved bus unlike the mess 4904 is.

RTS CNG Command Posted September 13, 2013 Share #9081 Posted September 13, 2013 (edited) We got some revised bus maps and schedules headin' your way! http://mta.info/nyct/maps/busbkln.pdf http://mta.info/nyct/maps/busbkln2.pdf 1. The B32 is featured in dark blue. 2. The B15 branch (purple) to the Postal Facility has been cut. 3. The B67 (red) shows its continuous turning through the Brooklyn Navy Yard. The terminal and streets through the revitalized portion of the Yard are featured in the inset. (There is a mistake on the back of the map. It says the B67 meanders through DUMBO and the BNY seven days a week, when it only serves the area part-time during the weekdays.) ——— http://mta.info/nyct/maps/busqns.pdf http://mta.info/nyct/maps/busqns2.pdf 1. The B32 (purple), revised B15 route (red), and B67 extension (light green) are on the map. 2. The Q33 (red) displays its revised northbound terminal at 94th Street. 3. The Q70 LTD (red) has the "LTD" initial beside each symbol along with type on the path of the BQE that reads: Q70 LTD Makes no stops between Roosevelt Av and Broadway and Parking Lot 1 in LaGuardia Edited September 13, 2013 by RTS CNG Command

Culver Posted September 13, 2013 Share #9089 Posted September 13, 2013 You on an express bus??!? Unless it's Atlantic Express X23/24, not likely seeing as how he's on a J4500. Was on 4819. Seemed to have more giddy-up than Ulmer Park ones. Also not beat to shit like UP's.

XcelsiorBoii4888 Posted September 13, 2013 Share #9094 Posted September 13, 2013 @Culver...The reason why 4819 has more giddy up is because thats a NORMAL Xcelsior....with no LBSS...4836, and 4865 dont have LBSS. The rest do. @ Fresh Pond, VG8, and everyone... Im on a Academy J4500. I have a normal life ya know

Bad luck I guess .
MHV9218 Posted September 14, 2013 Share #9098 Posted September 14, 2013 Quill's still doing runs on the M5 (5212 ran today), but it looks like northbound almost exclusively, with a deadhead down the highway to South Ferry.

Has there been any recollection of Southbound trips? I only know of one when it first started.
MHV9218 Posted September 14, 2013 Share #9100 Posted September 14, 2013 Has there been any recollection of Southbound trips? I only know of one when it first started. Oh yeah. I have a couple phone photos I have to get around to uploading, but there used to be one or two southbound trips a day, especially on weekends. Was a real trip seeing an RTS M5 heading down 5th, and also interesting seeing an LFSA M5 down 5th. Quill even used a few wrapped buses. They just generally used the normal sign for those runs, but I haven't seen any southbound in a little while.
