BUS - Random Thoughts Thread

There buses are most likely going the other depot. CAS gives 3G's to Yukon, Yukon gives Orion V's or NG's to CAS. This is similar to how JA gave the NG's to QV in return for LFS's from QV.

Come to think of it, I would have done the UP-ENY swap differently. Execelsiors for their O7's.

Okay I get it now. And I honestly never rode a NG on a Castleton route. I hope it's not that bad

 

I still miss the LFS's & Xcelsiors lol

Guys, there is NO swap going on between Castleton and Yukon. Staten Island buses can have any bus from any of the depots (except from Meredith) running at anytime. CaitSith already stated that the driver with 7014 was doing overtime so don't expect any 3G's coming to Yukon anytime soon. Just expect them to show up as short-trip runs.

 

Remember, the S78 was running under Castleton when 7014 showed up on the S79.

I didn't say anything about a swap... but what does that last part mean the s78 was running under castleton when 7014 showed up on the s79?

It wasn't towards you.

 

What he means that there is a small possibility of an S78 to turn into an S79 during the holidays or sometimes when the operator is doing overtime, but that's not always the case. It could come from anywhere and be an S79.

When the NGs were delivered to Castleton, I was still living in Staten Island, so I rode them. I actually like the 3Gs there better.

Me too. My only thing with them is when the driver goes full speed the back seat viberates a lot and it gets uncomfortable & there's a annoying ringing sound in the transmission. I can hear it through my music sometimes.

I thought the reason UP doesn't have hybrids was because they weren't equipped to handle them or something about the roof tops being too tall for them to change the batteries. Otherwise, i guess ngs would be a good fit for UP.
