Future ENY OP Posted June 25, 2016 Share #18001 Posted June 25, 2016 That bus is so new though, hopefully there isn't a recall because of this. That may could be a possibility. Let's see what the investigation turns out to be.
Cait Sith Posted June 25, 2016 Share #18002 Posted June 25, 2016 Just because a bus went up in flames doesn't mean there will be a recall. We've had a number of buses go up in flames and there have been 0 recalls. The cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
trainfan22 Posted June 25, 2016 Share #18003 Posted June 25, 2016 A couple of Boltbus's Prevosts have caught fire in recent years as well... Oddly enough, I never heard about Greyhound Prevosts ever bursting into flames even though Bolt and Hound buses are maintained at the same garages.

Cait Sith Posted June 26, 2016 Share #18005 Posted June 26, 2016 Also, recalls come from the manufacturers, not from the TAs. If the manufacturers finds faults in a product, they'll announce it and whatever TA's has said fleet, they'll get em fixed.

pranavbhat924 Posted June 26, 2016 Share #18008 Posted June 26, 2016 It could also be the operator not even pushing it. Oh no...it feels like there's a device that's not letting the bus do over 25 mph. Sent from my iPhone using NYC Transit Forums mobile app Most of those JFK hybrids are governed between 40-50 mph. It definitely sounds like the operator isn't pushing it. Missabassie Posted June 26, 2016 Share #18010 Posted June 26, 2016 The M60 needs to up its frequency, especially on weekends. One M60 to the airport was so packed almost no one could get on. And the next M60 to the airport, 12-15 min away. That bunching is a constant problem with the M60 its like they like running in packs or supm...

Future ENY OP Posted June 27, 2016 Share #18016 Posted June 27, 2016 Just counted 7 B17's going down Remsen Avenue from Eastern Parkway to Canarsie and no B47's heading to Kings Plaza. However, 4 B47's heading to WoodHull. Really horrendous if you ask me. I really think that Grand Avenue doesn't have a hold on this route. Plagued with delays. The needs to do something with this at once. Time and time again it's been spoken on this board that the line needs to split up and this here is a prime reason. I don't know the actually headways for the line. However, one shouldn't have to wait over 1/2 hour during rush hour to hop on a bus.

The 47 was 2 separate routes (40 north of ENY Av, 78 south of Sutter-Rutland). They new combo is too long, with absmyal headways (I think at its peak it's 8-10 mins).
GojiMet86 Posted June 28, 2016 Share #18018 Posted June 28, 2016 (edited) All that bunching on the M14D. That is almost half of all the buses on the line at that time: Edited June 28, 2016 by GojiMet86

In the morning, they like to run in bunches, and same during rush hour with no buses in between. During the midday the route is often treated like a senior citizen line and honestly it is not.

B22viaAtlanticAv Posted June 29, 2016 Share #18022 Posted June 29, 2016 I hope when SBS start or kicks in, the B46 operators stop the practice of the pickup pax in the now B44 SBS lane;that practice is not only dangerous but damn near annoying too ugh...
