m106crosstown 0 Posted May 12, 2008 Share #1 Posted May 12, 2008 My suggestion is to paint the buses according to borough. For example: Queens - Light Green Brooklyn - Red Manhattan - Yellow The Bronx - Light Blue Staten Island - Orange I would also change the blue stripe to green representing an environmentally clean NY. White is dirty and will constantly need to be repainted. I don't know why they are not getting black backs on buses anymore. What would be your plans to repaint the buses. nycbusfan 2 Posted May 12, 2008 Share #2 Posted May 12, 2008 I would paint all buses in the two tone blue paint scheme.
DonOfAllBuses 3 Posted May 14, 2008 Share #3 Posted May 14, 2008 Here in Johnson County, Kansas each buse is a different solid color. The Olathe buses are color coordinated to it's routes. I think the MTA should have a color or a theme for each bus. The MTA could also reverse the color styles... instead of a white bus with a blue stripe, they could do blue buses with white stripes... just a thought.
