Fred G 63 Posted May 12, 2008 Share #1 Posted May 12, 2008 I chased it but kept it closer to the Norwalk area. Here are some pics: Glover Rd in Norwalk Merritt 7 Track 6 at SoNo; notice the mast and insulator from the previous overhead wire. Approaching Science Road. This is part of the first mile or so of the Danbury branch that still has catenary on it. Wilton Merritt 7 Merritt 7 Thanks for viewing.

The area the train is running through looks very interesting. Harry, that's a mixed use complex that includes offices and residences (condos and apartments I believe) in four or five story buildings. The train station is just a low level platform kind of in the midst of it. One weird aspect - the station platform is fenced off from the buildings to the east of the railroad so pedestrian access is limited. I don't know why that is or perhaps there's some kind of access that I didn't see, but it looks weird at this point.

I found it interesting a single track railroad running in between the two complexes like that. It looks like you shot from an overpass of some sort or perhaps from a building?
