Kriston Lewis Posted April 8, 2011 Share #1 Posted April 8, 2011 I dunno if there is a demand for this, but here's my contribution to the sign making community. This is an example. Just tell me what you want it to say, and I'll make it. A few guidelines: If you want specific words highlighted in blue, let me know which ones. Super long messages will be shortened or rejected. Let me know if you want a wall ad (square) or a overhead ad (rectangle). And that's it. Fire away!
Rell Posted April 9, 2011 Share #2 Posted April 9, 2011 Wow, cool. now with this out there, all we need is somebody who can make a G.O. poster, and we'd have basically everything.
NX Express Posted April 10, 2011 Share #3 Posted April 10, 2011 I dunno if there is a demand for this, but here's my contribution to the sign making community. Fire away! Rectangular ad please: Ah, cursing. (in blue). The good old crutch for people who lack intelligence, good vocabulary and are unable to express themselves with real words thus resorting to swearing. You are LUCKY to have the proprietary font that the MTA uses! 2 requests (same format as above): A stop takes time. Every stop the bus makes adds valuable minutes to your trip. Please don't play with the stop request cord. ---- This bus is 40 feet long. Standing passengers please move to the raised back of the bus if possible. ---- Also, does anyone have a clear GO poster photo? I'm working on one. SirJokaPlaya Posted April 14, 2011 Share #8 Posted April 14, 2011 Hey, Kriston Lewis. Question: Are you only making MTA signs? Your artistic skills are great and I could use a sign that can help me with my school bus students. My problem is I don't know if you're using MTA signs or if I could give you a logo of the bus company that I'm driving. Let me know at your earliest convenience? Thanks! Kriston Lewis Posted April 25, 2011 Author Share #14 Posted April 25, 2011 I am now accepting requests with images (overhead example above). There is one important requirement: YOU MUST HAVE THE RIGHT TO USE THAT IMAGE. If you are using someone else's image, MAKE SURE THAT THE IMAGE HAS A LICENSE THAT ALLOWS THIS. If you cannot sufficiently prove to me that you are allowed to use an image, I will not use it. If you don't have a suitable image, I can substitute one of my own if you wish. rr4567 Posted April 25, 2011 Share #15 Posted April 25, 2011 Can you make one (overhead) that says This train is not a hangout If you are riding just to "hang out" and cause trouble, please do not do so. Loitering is against the rules You are LUCKY to have the proprietary font that the MTA uses! It's not proprietary Also, does anyone have a clear GO poster photo? I'm working on one. Yes, I know. It's really, really old.
