I came up with the idea to create Nicknames for trains here are a few of mines

(A) Able

(:) Bad

(C) Cant

(D) Don't

(E) Excellent

(F) Fine

(G) Garbage

(J) Jog

(L) Local

(M) Maybe

(N) Newly- Improved

(Q) Quick

(R) Rarely

(Z) Zero

Most of these sound more like your opinions of each line than nicknames. And besides you're very late to the party since these lines have nicknames already

(A) Alpha

(:) Bravo

(C) Charlie

(D) Delta

(E) Ecko

(F) Fox

(G) George

(J) Jello

(L) Larry

(M) Mikey

(N) November

(Q) Quincy

(R) Romeo

(S) Shuttle

(V) Victor

I don't think some are right, but I hear this on the radio.

Assumedly, these would be based off the phonetic alphabet, which would run as.

Alpha

Bravo

Charlie

Delta

Echo

Foxtrot

Golf

Juliet

Lima

Mike

November

Quebec

Romeo

Sierra

Whiskey

Zulu

But I'm sure there are some differences.

I just like the regular single letters, its easier to tell at a glance what someones talking about

I think the nicknames are used to refer to the train's call letters (train's identity by interval, route, and origin-destination. For Example: 13:26 (Q) Quincy Ditmars-Stillwell)
