User Posted May 2, 2011 Share #3 Posted May 2, 2011 Very nice photos. They look so crisp. Nice to see ones of Long Island Bus, especially of the NG CNGs. Thanks, nice to see another Long Island Bus enthusiast!

Amtrak7 Posted May 3, 2011 Share #6 Posted May 3, 2011 Does anyone even ride Greyhound from NYC to LI?
Joel Up Front Posted May 3, 2011 Share #7 Posted May 3, 2011 People have the N6 right there from the Transit Center and the Hempstead Branch of the LIRR. For $20, you can get a round trip ticket on the LIRR! More likely than not people ride it from NYC to wherever else that bus goes.

Queens Surface Posted May 3, 2011 Author Share #9 Posted May 3, 2011 Does anyone even ride Greyhound from NYC to LI? The most I saw getting on was around 6-8 people.. Joel Up Front Posted May 4, 2011 Share #10 Posted May 4, 2011 Well, $10 is still enough to cover a ride from Hempstead to Penn (considering the transfer at Jamaica). Where were those photos of 1615 and 1817 taken?

Queens Surface Posted May 5, 2011 Author Share #13 Posted May 5, 2011 Well, $10 is still enough to cover a ride from Hempstead to Penn (considering the transfer at Jamaica). Where were those photos of 1615 and 1817 taken? Hmm so it does even out. 1615 was taken somewhere in Rockville Centre and 1817 was taken at Freeport. Amtrak7 Posted May 5, 2011 Share #14 Posted May 5, 2011 Greyhound NY-Hempstead costs $4.50 on the web, $5 standard, $8 refundable. Schedule: http://extranet.greyhound.com/Revsup/schedules/pdf/121.pdf Other intercity buses serve Hempstead, Mineola, and Patchogue. I don't know all of them, but I know Adirondack Trailways offers service to White Plains, Nanuet, and Kingston.
Joel Up Front Posted May 5, 2011 Share #15 Posted May 5, 2011 Not any busfans out here, so if I'm on a bus and I see some non-press or photographing buses, odds are I'll know who you are... lol
