Amtrak7 Posted May 11, 2011 Share #4 Posted May 11, 2011 And that's the newest electric in the country (ALP46A 4664) pulling it. I'm surprised its on its own wheels, the testing in Pueblo is not done yet.
Cait Sith Posted May 11, 2011 Share #5 Posted May 11, 2011 Excellent shots. A GP40PH 4209 and ALP-46A 4645 came in and towed the sets out.
metsfan Posted May 11, 2011 Author Share #6 Posted May 11, 2011 As soon as I saw it, (my arrow set pulled in on tk 2 & I was in the front car middle vestibule) I looked out the door and saw 4664 then woooahhh!! 4500! 4664 was on and humming, 4500 was totally silent aside from the folks poking around inside. More photos later this eve on my trip home/when I get home. Took photos with iPhone & camera camera. - A

metsfan Posted May 13, 2011 Author Share #12 Posted May 13, 2011 The loco was loco. As for shiny, they all look like that with the fresh enamel paint. 4633, the first 46a I photo'd up close is all ready filthy on the cab fronts. I really hope I can grab some more once they go into testing and revenue service. This was a really nice treat for me, I usually miss all the good stuff, even missed national train day, then weds I saw circus cars parked on a siding, then I saw the ACES train up by the airport, then this. It was a good day. - A
