Loud cell-phone talker removed from quiet car by police

Perhaps throwing her off the train was too much, but having just one car for peace and quiet is a good idea, and unless an emergency comes up or perhaps the train is crowded it really should be abided to.

Beyond the fact that is just rude some people have zero discretion on what they talk about in public....I don't need to know that you "swallow"!(Yes, a girl had this phone conversation on the way to Hartford,SMFH!)

lol one day a few months back I was on the (M101), doing my math homework at the far back of the bus. This homosexual boy and two heterosexual girls sit down and start talking... about their sex lives... in nice, graphic, detail. Even if I wasn't doing homework, that's not exactly good bus talk -____-

I have NO problem embarassing somebody for being on the phone. If your on it for 5-10 mins then no problem, but some people want to talk for the whole 4 hr ride to/from Providence....Homey don't play that!

While I would'nt have arrested her, I would have made here move or put her off at the next stop.

Now putting her off at the next stop has more sense then stopping an entire train at a railroad crossing to wait for the cops who have more important things to do i suppose and holding up the drivers at the crossing. Atleast the train could have pulled clear of the railroad crossing. At the end of the day this whole thing failed because disorderly conducts are very easily dropped even without a lawyer, hell my mom has gotten dui charges dropped. Just because they made an example will not stop other people from doing it plain and simple.

As for people talking on the bus the convos do get very interesting. Finding out you had sex in the lobby at burger king at 5am in the morning is something i didnt need to know.

If its loud enough ,I will address it because I need my Concentration .

I know guys that will stop the bus and I support that if they are Sombitches about it...Not everybody wants to hear what happened to frank and his stupid account.

i don't blame you. i'm not a B/O or a T/O at the moment but i can imagine how distracting that is while operating a vehicle with passengers. when i'm a passenger i find it very annoying to hear people talking nonsense when they are next to me. that's why i carry my ipod now so i can drown out the sound.

i have heard a lot of crazy subjects like that when i'm a passenger on a bus or train.

for this thread subject, AMTRAK did the right thing to remove her off the train but arresting her, not really. they should have given her a ticket or something like that. when i used to take the bus to school, people would talk about a lot of crazy stuff. society is really broken these days if you ask me.

Good for that fat b*tch. The other day when I was on Megabus, this chickenhead talked from Boston all the way to New York. I couldn't even take a nap.

There is no way one can be that loud where one cant nap I slept through even the most obnoxious of cell phone talkers get noise cancelling headphones works for me.

"A woman who was escorted off an Amtrak train by police this weekend after she allegedly refused to stop talking loudly on her cell-phone has the Internet cheering her fate.

Civilians and quiet-car champions are supporting her ejection for violating policy at high volume during the 16-hour journey. It doesn't help her cause that she became belligerent when confronted about it by one of her fellow passengers."

all sign should read this in every train cars and buses

no food and drink

no radio paying wiithout head phone

turn all cell phone off till you get off

The one thing that annoyed me is why these people can't wait till they get off the train? why is it so important to talk on train and annoyed other? this is how i get even with them is by doing text messages near the yacker. I remember one time a seton hall fan was talking the whole entire lenghth of my trips and one guy told him put the phone down, seton hall suck in that game. There was one other time a guy was on the train was talking trash because he was gay and cursing like crazy. Beside there was a kids on board that was like 12 years old and his mom didnt like his language. Lucky the conductor come by to break up the fight before it get physical. but it was horrifying that conductor never threw him off the train because the njt poster said " if you are in disorderly conduct, the conductor have a right to throw you off at the next stop with the town police."

Hmmm. This is the first time I seen this. Interesting. I wonder if NJT is doing the same procedure for their quiet trains. I remember one time I was going to PABT on my way to Meadowlands (When I was working at NJT), I was taking the 166, and later connect to the 320. This lady got on 69th and Blvd East/Galaxy Apts. She wouldn't stop talking and was loud. So one passenger POLITELY asked her if she could lower her voice. Man, she went in a uproar. Saying WHO THE F ARE YOU TO TELL ME TO LOWER MY VOICE? I CAN TALK AS LOUD AS I WANT. Then she went MY PRESIDENT IS BLACK, AND THAT MEANS I HAVE RIGHTS NOW. Oy. First off, I'm black too, and I had rights before Obama. Politics and Race aside, she was all high strung and blacked out when this dude POLITELY, and I mean Politely as you can be in CHURCH asked if she could lower her voice a few cuz he was trying to catch some ZZZ's before PABT. I mean, It got UGLY, so ugly that I had to get involved, showed my NJT Bus Shield, and tell her that she needed to calm down or the police will get involved.

Sometimes, those Bus Operator Badges work! She thought I was a undercover NJT Police officer. LOL. She quieted up thats for sure.

Let me get this straight: You go up to random girls and ask about their sex fetishes?

I'm sure there are people out there getting turned on by their conversation, but the vast majority doesn't want to hear about their fetishes the first thing in the morning.
