B35 via Church Posted June 7, 2011 Share #26 Posted June 7, 2011 Nassau does not have hubs like Westchester and Connecticut that attracts reverse commuters. Hempstead isn't White Plains or Stamford. The few places in Nassau that are employment centers, such as the hospitals and universities, lack rail service. A transit hub doesn't necessarily have to attract the reverse commuter.... Joel Up Front Posted June 7, 2011 Share #27 Posted June 7, 2011 And Forest Glen is right. Rockville Centre, for example, has "Molloy College" under the name when the campus is 3/4ths of a mile up Hempstead Avenue. NCC is another great example. The Mitchel Field Secondary hasn't seen a passenger that wasn't a circus since the 1930s, so the closest station would be Hempstead, and that's about a mile and a half away.
