What happen to the Liberty Lines MCI CLASSIC?

Ever since the MTA took over I always wondered what ever happen to MCI CLASSIC after they retired,did they get relocated to other depot?are they in the yorkers depot just sitting there?or were they sold to private sellers?

 

P.S I know that some MCI CLASSIC got painted the MTA look.

I think there are only 1 or two classics still in service. I used to see one crossing the Queensborough Bridge in the p.m. rush hour. Most of the others are probably made in to diners or sold as scrap.

I think that one is out of service again but it will be back in service sometime again. Its actually a few.

7898-7899, 7901-7905 (ex-3102-3103, 3106-3110) are in Eastchester storage. 7897 (3101) and 7900 (3105) are dead I think, probably due to cracked axles which was a big problem with many Liberty Classics at the takeover. 7901 and 7904 were just in service a couple months ago (they had been in service for a few months actually, since thanksgiving with 7901 seeing a lot of service and running on a straight schedule, my friend drove it a lot on the BM1). BTW Pablo, what's this about one of them coming back for service? Do you know which one it's gonna be and what depot?
