What Windows Do You Use?

Actually I just custom built an entire new PC with Windows 7 Ultimate x64 a couple of weeks ago. Never looked back at XP again. And to me XP was perfect.

Custom built ftw. Windows 7 really shines with computers that can run them with ease ... That and big screens. ;)

I just bought that sound card and got it in the mail saturday, how is it so far?

And I just spent $1468 on a Dell U3011 30" monitor.

As soon as some more green comes in I'm going to get the EVGA GeForce GTX 580 Superclocked & see how that works out. My XPS 9100 is using Windows Ultamite with no worries.

I loved XP as well, but my rig quickly became too slow to handle everything I threw at it. It still works, but now I have this laptop with Windows 7. Windows 7 has given me two BSODs, random updates when I have it turned off, has forced me to close down my Firefox countless times, and just detracts from what fun I had with XP.

SSDs, Harry? I've never had good experiences with first-gen electronics and hardware.

I'm e-foaming so hard right now.......how much did all that cost?

Definitely cheaper than it costs now. ;)

My old computer still has the old Audigy 2 ZS that I used to run and I can definitely hear the difference. I have a 5.1 digital surround speaker setup.

That's next on my list after water cooling.

The MSI Geforce GTX 580 Lightning 3GB is available now. A little more cash but double the memory. That's a kick-ass video card. Check it out.

SSD's have been pretty much mainstream for a long time. They're cheaper and faster than a couple of years ago. But what's funny is that the SSD I got for my system is the only component that has gone up in price. Most of them have gone down and one other is the same.
