06-14-11 Acela trains at NAN bridge Niantic CT

Recommended Posts

Hi all, these were taken at and near NAN on 06-14. I'm visiting here when I can since the bridge is being replaced and I want as many NAN-centric shots as I can. The dark sky was inviting also and Niantic has kind of a 'big sky" effect.

Excellent. Speaking of Acela, I gave myself an early Christmas present. On December 24, I will take Acela from New Haven to Penn Station. It cost $65.

That's cool but you won't experience that higher speed that you would taking it from New Haven east.

My plan is to take Metro-North (hopefully a M8) to New Haven, take some pics, and then take Acela back to the city. I couldn't afford a real Acela trip, but at least I can say that I rode Acela.
