Canada's postal system has been shut down since June 14 because of the painful impacts associated with rotating strikes. http://www.montrealgazette.com/Canada+Post+locks+employees+across+country+after+rotating+strikes/4947891/story.html Canada Post has shut down its operations nationwide after nearly two weeks of rotating strikes and failed negotiations with its union. The crown corporation says about 50,000 employees have been locked out. USPS is stopping the acceptance of Canada-bound mail effective the end of the day tomorrow. While this is an important story especially for our cousins up north, it was overshadowed by the Stanley Cup 'riots' in Vanc. at least by the US news media.
