Fred G Posted June 20, 2011 Share #1 Posted June 20, 2011 Here are some photos of Amtrak north of Hartford CT. Due to welded rail installation, the Vermonter is bustituted between St Albans, VT and Springfield, MA and then a train from SPG to Washington DC. I caught some photos up in northern CT. Northbound Vermonter after crossing the CT River at Enfield. This is MP50 on the line. P42 201 on the tail end of the Vermonter. The station it's passing is the old Warehouse Point station, per a local railfan who was onsite. Here is the same Vermonter consist heading south, caught in Windsor. The Vermonter is bustituted from SPG north so the train swaps with the bus and heads south from Springfield. In this instance the southbound Vermonter was delayed enough to meet up with the northbound shuttle train. P42 204 on the Shuttle. Thanks for looking.
