Novabus 5000 Posted June 23, 2011 Share #3 Posted June 23, 2011 It is a Road Ops Superintendents car. It came from Eastchester. To add on to that, that is a Ford Crown Victoria Model. This one looks like the older model judging by the front grille.
Locomotion69 Posted June 23, 2011 Share #4 Posted June 23, 2011 Don't they take those cars home with them? What is that number 1000 on the drivers side next to the side marker lamp for?

DevilBus65 Posted June 23, 2011 Share #6 Posted June 23, 2011 It's car 1000,much like buses and trains all MTA vehicles have numbers. This includes road trucks and patrol cars. Car 1000 probably pulls out of West Farms and no one takes these cars home with them unless they are real big wigs.
Joel Up Front Posted June 23, 2011 Share #7 Posted June 23, 2011 I've seen a NYCT Camry... it went right by the parking lot road at NCC behind the library while I was waiting for a bus. Why would they be on LI?

Ill take a picture one of these days to show you how Supervision is watching incognito. I bet after awhile you can spot them a mile away. I know I can spot the undercover nypd cars driving around. Did you ever get around to buying a radio scanner? that way on your RDO's you can listen in at home what is going on.

traildriver Posted June 25, 2011 Share #11 Posted June 25, 2011 I've seen a NYCT Camry... it went right by the parking lot road at NCC behind the library while I was waiting for a bus. Why would they be on LI? Indeed, why would they? For that matter, why should the taxpayers pay for any officials to use government vehicles for personal use? DevilBus65 Posted June 25, 2011 Share #14 Posted June 25, 2011 I've seen a NYCT Camry... it went right by the parking lot road at NCC behind the library while I was waiting for a bus. Why would they be on LI? We've had LIB vehicles over by the BCC too. They go where they are needed to go. I've been to 2 Broadway when I was doing overnight Queens North road ops, so seeing a NYCT vehicle in Nassau County isn't so strange.

Joel Up Front Posted June 25, 2011 Share #16 Posted June 25, 2011 Methinks they were quick to get out since they never parked or booked any of the buses. I'm still eager to find out how the NG CNGs fare on NYC streets outside of eastern Queens.
