Due to emergency track work, no (D) Trains running in Brooklyn in both directions.

(D) trains will be rerouted via the Culver Line

Due to broken tracks at 34 St - Herald Sq, (N)(Q)(R) service will be affected.

(N) and (Q) trains run in two sections : Astoria - Ditmars Blvd - 57 St - 7 Av, and Times Sq, 42 St-Coney Island.

(R) Service is currently suspended.

Due to construction, there are no (C) trains.

How can there be service from the south to 42nd street if the tracks are being worked on? if they terminate at 42nd and 57th there just one station apart.

HUH? How will 5 trains head up the 7th ave line when (1)(2)(3) service is suspended from 34 St - Penn and Eastern Pkwy? And if (4) and (5) trains are running between Nevins St and Flatbush ave, why (5) shuttle trains that run between Flatbush and Nevins? Doesn't make sense.

because if the (1)(2)(3) Lines continue south from 34th st to south ferry it will block both south ferry terminals. the loop and south ferry cant handle so many trains.

(4) runs from new lots to nevins

(5) runs from flatbush to nevins

and limited (2) service in brooklyn.

the (4)(5) are going to alleviate the clog of trains terminating at Eastern parkway.

and the (1) i just did wrong. if the (5) goes up 7th ave why not make the (1) continue its route. ;)

Due to construction on the (A) line, no (A) Trains are running in BOTH direcitons.

(D) trains will run 6 Av Lcl and goes via the 8 Av Lcl line to Rockaway Park at West 4th St.

(F) trains will be rerouted via the 8 Av Lcl to Inwood.

(C) and (E) trains will be running,

Why is service disrupted?

There is a broken track on the 8 Av Express track. The reason (A) trains are not running local is because it would cause major delays on the (A)(C)(E).

There is also switch and signal repair on the express track.

This one is questionable b\c if you have the (F) via 8th Av I assume track is clear north of 50th.

You can re-route the A via 6th Av local and put the A back on track after York Street leaving the (D) and uptown the (A) can run via the (F) then via the (D) getting back on track to Inwood.(E) service would not be disrupted since its already a local and the (C) also but ur putting 3 trains on the 8th Av local the (F)(C)(E).

Scenario:

(C)(E) normal Service via 8th Av

(D)(F) Normal Service

(A) re-routed via the (D) from 59th to W4th then via (F) to Jay switching back over on regular track.

N/B pretty much the opposite (A) via (F) at Jay to W4 and switch over back on track.

Here's my next one:

Due to already planned trackwork in the Cranberry Street Tunnel and emergency rail conditions affecting all four tracks at Kingstron-Throop, the following changes are in effect:

Queens bound (A) trains operate local from 59th-West 4th, then via the (F) to Jay Street, with normal service Manhattan-bound between Jay-207th Street.

(A) and (C) service suspended between Jay Street and Broadway Junction. Shuttle buses run between Jay Street and Broadway Junction.

(C) trains run normal service to West 4th, then via the (F) to Broadway-Lafayette, the (M) to Essex and the (J) to Broadway Junction, where it terminates on the (J) platform. Passengers in Manhattan who normally use the (A) to Broadway Junction and points east in Brooklyn and Queens should stay on or transfer to the (C) and transfer from the (J) platform at Broadway Junction to the (A) or (S) on the ©'s normal platform.

(S) trains replace the (A) between Broadway Junction and Lefferts Blvd., making all local stops. ALL (A) trains run to the Rockaways as an express to Euclid Avenue, then continue to the Rockaways, including replacing the Rockaway Park (S) shuttle between Broad Channel-Rockaway Park, running round-robin to Rockaway Park AND Far Rockaway.

Why is this being done: Emergency trackwork at Kingston-Throop requires us to shut down the entire line between Jay Street and Broadway Junction. The (A) is running express to Euclid while the (S) runs local to Euclid since the (A) has a far longer run to the Rockaways as opposed to the (S) to Euclid. This also reduces the inconvenience for casino patrons at Aqueduct and those coming in from JFK at Howard Beach heading towards Manhattan and vice versa. The work in the Cranberry Street Tunnel is necessary to ensure the Brooklyn/Queens-bound track is in good working order.

Due to the Second Ave Subway being built there is no (F) service from West 4th Street to Coney Island. Because of this the (G) is extended to Coney Island. Railfanners!!!

Due to a runaway train on the (D) line there is no 6th Ave, 8th Ave, Broadway and Queens Blvd service.
