Due to a collapse in the Christie Street Connector, there is no (M) service between Essex Street and Forest Hills until further notice.

Due to repairs on the Manhattan Bridge on the 6th Avenue side, there is no (:((D) service south of 34th Street/Herald Square. To cover the (:(, the (Q) will run 2 separate services. Local service will be labeled as (Q) and express will be designated as <Q> . The <Q> terminus will be at Brighton Beach The (M) train will be extended to Coney Island.

For (D) Service:

Transfer for a Coney Island Bound (F) at 34th Street/Herald Square and take it to Essex St. and transfer there for the (M) to Coney Island.

For (B) Service:

Transfer for the (Q)<Q> at 34th Street. <Q> trains will originate at 57th Street at ALL TIMES. Both (Q) trains will run express along Broadway.

Also to pick up the slack of the (M) along 6th Avenue, a (S6) will run the entire (M) line, but detour to 2nd Ave, the terminus.

Before the Chrystie connector was even thought about being reopened; I envisioned a collapse on the Nassau line that would force them to use the connector. (And I feared that in actuality, they still wouldn't, and just cut the (J) off at Essex, and reduce the (Mx) to a full time shuttle).

IRT lines like the (4) can't run on BMT/IND lines like the (Q), because of different platform, and tunnel widths. Ever realize how skinny an R142 is compared to an R160?

It's the other way around IND/BMT Can't run on the IRT.But IRT trains can run on the IND/BMT(whether its Redbird work service) or yard moves nothing to be proved.

I gonna try this.....

Due to major storm that brought 4 inches of rain to the nyc area there will b major subway changes.

All penn station bound lirr train will end at jamaica station will cross honor all lirr tickets please use the (E) instead

due to major flooding on the (E)(F)(R)(M) lines

(R) and (M) train are suspended in queens only

All (E) run on local track also terminate at queens plaza. Use shuttle bus to lex 53rd strreet for continuing service

All brooklyn bound (F) train terminate at queenbridge plz use shuttle bus to lex 63rd street for continuing (F) service

In manhattan all (E) trains run every 10 mins and will now terminate at broadway nassau

(C) trains are suspended in manhattan

(A) trains run ever 10 mins from 42street to 208th street

Okay heres what i mean.

(N) Trains Run In 2 Sections

Astira Ditmars Blvd To 14 St Union Sq On The (N)/(Q)/® Platform

14 St Union Sq On the (4)/(5)/(6) Platform To Brooklyn Bridge.

Note: (N) Trains Terminate at the Old City Hall Station. This Station Has been reopened.

No (6) Trains Between Brooklyn Bridge And 14 St Union Sq.Take the (N) Instead.

I mean that when (N) Trains Arrive at 14 St Union sq they Terminate there then you walk down to the SouthBound (4)/(5)/(6) platform And see A Brooklyn Bridge Bound (N) Train Ready To Depart

IND/BMT sized trains can't operate on IRT tracks.the IRT operates 51' subway

cars while IND/BMT operates 60' and 75' subway cars.

Its only a R68 (N) Train that is going to delpart from 14 St Union Sq

And an R68 is 75' long.putting that on the IRT would not only damage the car,it would also damage the platform.your G.O plan wouldn't work.

To keep you aware,

R46/44 IND/BMT

R62 IRT

R68 IND/BMT

R142/R142A IRT

R143 IND/BMT

R160 IND/BMT

Now do you get it Kendell. Last Time; Lettered line (IND/BMT) cars can't run on numbered lines (IRT)! And also FYI Numbered Line cars can't run passenger service on Lettered Lines b/c of the gap.

Get It!?!?!?

Thank my post if you agree with me.

I would do it by simply designating the (J)/4 shuttle as a special 4 on the (J) line (using the digital signage of the 160's.

You could do what he's saying by having a special N program on the 142's, but there would be no reason to have an (N) shuttle to City Hall. They would just say "transfer to the (4)(5)(6) for service to Canal", or "to a nearby station".

Don't think having the (Q) going to three stops (34th St, 42nd St and 57th St) is useful, just take the (N) or (R) it only differs by one stop.
