Why not run the R shuttle 59th to 36th.

(D) Coney Island to 57th St via Broadway via Whitehall via Bway Exp

(Q) Extended to Forest Hills to replace the R

(N) Regular service to Astoria all times

and rush hrs have the (D) serve Astoria.

I don't see how the shuttle would be disturbed.

Option 2:

(D) To Forest Hills via Whitehall (R) line

Either way 3 lines will be going via Whitehall

If that happened, you'd probably see an emergency rebuild of what in later years was the old Culver shuttle line as a two-track line (though with a revived ROW since there are now residences on the old one), with such trains using a re-opened lower level of 9th Avenue before going on the rebuilt line, connecting at Ditmas Ave. on both platforms and that converted into a five-track, two-island platform station before the tracks from 9th Avenue merging with the existing Culver tracks going to Coney Island (and Church Avenue the lone stop between 9th and Ditmas).

So you're squeezing all four lines on CPW on to the local tracks? It won't just cause delays but jams throughout 6th Av and 8th Av lines.

Due to construction on the 60th Street Tunnel, there is no (N) service between Times Square-42 Street and Queensboro Plaza. (R) trains are rerouted via the (M) between Queens Plaza and 47th-50th Streets and then rerouted via the (D) between 47th-50th Streets and Dekalb Avenue. (Q) trains run local in Manhattan between Dekalb Avenue and 57 Street-7 Avenue. This means (Q) trains will stop at 49 Street and run local via Whitehall. (N) trains run express between Times Square-42 Street and Canal Street via Bridge.

G.O. Coming Soon to a subway system near you.
