Coney Island to 57th St via Broadway via Whitehall via Bway Exp Extended to Forest Hills to replace the R Regular service to Astoria all times and rush hrs have the serve Astoria. I don't see how the shuttle would be disturbed. Option 2: To Forest Hills via Whitehall line Either way 3 lines will be going via Whitehall
Roadcruiser1 Posted June 29, 2011 Share #83 Posted June 29, 2011 That's, because a shuttle on the West End Line would world as well as an shuttle, and the shuttle can run to 36th Street. It doesn't need to terminate at 9th Avenue. Have the shuttle stop at the local platform, and terminate it there.
overclocked Posted June 29, 2011 Share #84 Posted June 29, 2011 Well, I just did not want to put so much pressure on the said line, bacause of the delays it would cause, but in situation like this it's better late then never. imagine yellow ... Comments are welcome If that happened, you'd probably see an emergency rebuild of what in later years was the old Culver shuttle line as a two-track line (though with a revived ROW since there are now residences on the old one), with such trains using a re-opened lower level of 9th Avenue before going on the rebuilt line, connecting at Ditmas Ave. on both platforms and that converted into a five-track, two-island platform station before the tracks from 9th Avenue merging with the existing Culver tracks going to Coney Island (and Church Avenue the lone stop between 9th and Ditmas). overclocked Posted June 29, 2011 Share #86 Posted June 29, 2011 Probably that won't be the only emergency work being done. BTW if that actually happened, knockin' on wood, what woud be rather done; new bridge or tunnel?
