Flushing Airport Depot

Across from the present College Point Depot at the former NYPD lot (31 Ave to CP Blvd to 28 Ave to 124 Street to 26 Ave to Ulmer to just before business parking lot.)

Combine Casey Stengel, LGA, and CP, and partial LIB. All CS, LAG, CP routes that are presently assigned to those depots and personnel transfer in. LIB routes that terminate in Flushing also are to be assigned here. Keep the present CP buildings in place and use as all inclusive maintenance facility. Create a byway over 28 Ave to connect each side, along with a street level roadway and signaled intersection.

Scheduling would have to create schedules with everything that orginates in Main Street area to start there. All other routes would start and end at route terminal closest to depot.

I'd build one in Staten Island near the Verrazano Bridge and call it the South Beach Depot...the S51, S52/S42 and S76 would be based out of it with some S53, S74 and S78 school runs based out of it as well. Express runs based out of it would be the X2, X3 and X9, which would eliminate deadheads from Yukon to New Dorp.

The depot would have 45 Orion 5.501s and 45 Nova LFS, along with 60 MCI D4500CTs, bringing the total to 150 buses. The sticker would be a 2D rendering of the Verrazano Bridge. That's my ideal bus depot

I think that's sort of the point, downsizeing the acdemy and getting rid of the big building on the east side. This will also replace, from what I've been told by my connections in the department, their firing rang on Rodman's Neck in Pelham Bay Park. this should save the city some money. CP could be easily upgraded with a multi story parking structure.

The new academy will actually be alot bigger then the current one in the city. Also they can't close Rodman's Neck, where will the bomb squad dispose unexploded bombs?

I would create a newer, larger Far Rockaway Depot, located on empty land south of the (A) and south of the current depot.

I'm not sure what buses it would have, but I know which routes would go there.

Q11, 21, 22, 35, 41, 53, 113, QM15, 16, 17
