IntExp Posted July 5, 2011 Share #1 Posted July 5, 2011 So me and my parents watch the Ecuadorian news (since my parents are from Ecuador) and I got pretty excited when the story broke out that Quito, the capital city of Ecuador is planning and about to break ground for construction on a brand new subway line. The line would be around 23 KM (14.3 Miles) in length, and is expected to be completed in 2015. When completed, this would be the first ever subway line in Ecuador, and if successful, the project would be extended to cover more areas of the capital city and planning would begin for construction of another subway system in Cuenca, which is the third biggest city in Ecuador [and where my parents are from]. It is being built with the help of the Madrid Metro.
