I found these somewhat unexplainable pictures. A R40slant Fresh outta GOH and still has the TA logo's and a strange not in service sign.http://www.nycsubway.org/perl/show?122480

Im not sure whats going on in the first photo, but in the second its possible that the older TA logo fell off and they just put that one in. The big M logo dates back to the late 60s. As for teh third photo, its probably out of service becasue its only a pair, and they never send two car trains like that into service.
