R68 Subway Car Posted July 7, 2011 Share #1 Posted July 7, 2011 For all future transportation photos from me, I will use the copyright format featured in this photo. I have decided to do this because I feel that all the information about the photo (camera, location, car type, line, date, etc) should be presented to clear any confusion. Comments on this are welcome.
LRG Posted July 7, 2011 Share #2 Posted July 7, 2011 Nice copyright format and excellent shot! If I were you I would submit that for next year's Tracks of the NYC subway cover!

Nova RTS 9147 Posted July 7, 2011 Share #5 Posted July 7, 2011 Nice, but also consider a watermark at the centre of the photo. One that doesn't ruin the photo but also doesn't ruin it. This one anyone can come in and just crop the photo with your information out.

(image) Comments on this are welcome. I could just cut that top part out and claim it as my own But the information part is good. Put some sort of indicator somewhere in the photo so that it's impossible to get rid of - like this:
Grand Concourse Posted July 8, 2011 Share #7 Posted July 8, 2011 But that's distracting and ruins the image. At least if you were to have the on the road at the bottom, it wouldn't look so bad.
R68 Subway Car Posted July 8, 2011 Author Share #8 Posted July 8, 2011 Here is an alternative: I put the line/system logo as a watermark.
R68 Subway Car Posted July 10, 2011 Author Share #9 Posted July 10, 2011 I modified my copyright plan, but I decided to have no watermark. I am not a huge fan of them.
IRT Bronx Express Posted July 11, 2011 Share #10 Posted July 11, 2011 You should put your name in bold white somewhere in your photo if you don't like watermarks. B) But, you can still retain that "infobox".
