Pablo M 201 Posted July 14, 2011 Share #6 Posted July 14, 2011 CUSA Never ordered 40ft NABIs. This is very strange. Anyone know wat the deal is? Coach USA placed an order for about 4 or 6 units (someone correct me with the exact number if possible). They're 2009 NABI 40-LFWs. Operated by Coach USA/Keeshin Charter Service in the Chicago Metropolitan area for commuter service. It did downtown Chicago shuttle service for Northern Trust Bank and also shuttle service for Northwestern University Evanston. (Photo by Trevor Logan in Northwestern University, same unit as the one pictured above).
The Real Posted July 14, 2011 Share #7 Posted July 14, 2011 they did for Red and Tan but this is a new surprise to me to see theses on the One bus line from Cusa *buzzer* No, the NABI's currently at Red & Tan were purchased by NJ Transit for the Hudson County contract lines and leased to Coach USA. These low floor NABIs were purchased directly by Coach USA.
4P3607 Posted July 15, 2011 Share #8 Posted July 15, 2011 I just noticed... These NABI's have no rear door . That's why it looks so weird .
The Real Posted July 15, 2011 Share #9 Posted July 15, 2011 Pablo, It was 4 units, 2009 NABI Model 040.42 (40-LFW), Coach USA/Keeshin Charter #40571-40574.
mtattrain Posted July 15, 2011 Share #10 Posted July 15, 2011 I just noticed... These NABI's have no rear door . That's why it looks so weird . Coach USA operates coach buses, so these NABI LFWs are single-doored to look like highway coach buses.
compobus fan Posted July 20, 2011 Share #11 Posted July 20, 2011 Originally NJT had ordered 15 Metro 45C (Compobus) for the GO28 service. Perhaps they want to evaluate the 40LFW to see if the later deliveries could be switched to them, or hopefully the Metro 45C.

I believe Coach USA is just moving them East to one of their operators.
SirJokaPlaya Posted July 21, 2011 Share #13 Posted July 21, 2011 I wish they did. The CoachUSA Division here in Butler PA is near Pittsburgh and I told them I used to work at NJT. Hell, if they ask me to drive that bus down to NJ, I'd do it in a heartbeat. I miss some driving! School bus driving wasn't do it for me.
