I'm very glad to see wide rear doors back. They should have never changed from the 1999/2000 C40LF specs.

I will be very interested to see if they're anything like the New Routemaster plug doors...

I think it's more likely to be 9000. So that would lump all the new LFS and Xcelsior hybrids in the 9000s and the diesels in the 8000s.

Exactly what I was thinking because it leaves room for future orders...

9291-9499 more LFS HEVs

9704-9999 more XDE40s

6287 and up for more diesel/hybrid artics

4965 and up for more XE60s (4900-4949 also available)

I thought they were going to reserve 1300 and up for electric buses and then they gave it to the Prevosts

The MTA was probably thinking that the first order of 45 electric buses+5 of the existing ones would have been 4900-4949.

It made more sense to have the Prevosts in the 1300s because eventually, the numbers would start to interfere with the existing MCI coaches. After all, they want to get rid of the worst-performing coaches, not necessarily all the buses within an existing range just because they happened to be in that range.

IIRC, the replacement of the 2005-2007 Orion VII Gen II buses. The Depots with these buses will get them first. Grand will continue with the XDE order since they have 9500-9509. 9510 May start there. These LFSHEVs hopefully for MV, and MQ, maybe one SI depot (CAS) to replace the O73G buses. But that’s if they pick up the option order, but that’s another story.
