Volvo and New Flyer are bus making giants, they aren't leaving, or canceling any orders anytime soon. I mean, you're not wrong. I'm just saying that we can't be making long-term plans for these buses as we are not too sure what we will be getting and what will be cancelled. MTA's 2020-2024 capital plan could very well be a short one. The R262 contract is be delayed for the foreseeable future on the subway side and the R211 contract could be cut back on in terms of car quantity as well.
R32 3838 Posted September 3, 2020 Share #4927 Posted September 3, 2020 the New Base Order for the XDE40's and LFS Hybrids are already paid for. Option orders might not happen since those aren't paid for.

I assume the same can be said for the next Prevost order?

Yeah, sometimes I don’t understand the system. I guess after all, it’s just fleet numbers, but still. I agree with you on this.
MysteriousBtrain Posted September 4, 2020 Share #4931 Posted September 4, 2020 (edited) Speaking of numbers again, current order numbers and the option diesel order is looking like this: *9510-9619 *9620-9784 *7851-7989 *8755-8963 The 210 option order of hybrids have 9785-9994 available. Most likely the options will be 9785-9910 (LFS HEV) and 9911-9994 (XDE40) but this part is unconfirmed. Looks like they're keeping 9000-9499 open, possibly for future electric orders (if we ever do get this capital program off the ground)

trainfan22 Posted September 8, 2020 Share #4935 Posted September 8, 2020 I wonder if all those BX artics are at these CMF for their 3 or 4 year overhaul or whatever or there's some other reason?

It would interesting to see it run out of manhattanville, not everyday you see a nova bus doing runs on manhattanville routes

MV continues the longest streak in the entire bus network of going without a brand new delivery. Last new order that came straight to their door were the OGs. Gonna be impressive when their last new order has been fully retired...

I think so that the LGA drivers are used to an LFS. My friend told me that his dispatcher friend at LGA said they may get the XEs or HEV
