Everything 2011 and new will be have their WiFi activated, and at this time only new buses will get the new scheme and outlets with the exception of the express buses of course. All the pre-2011 buses will be retired or start to retire within the next 4-5 years.

It also appears that MTA may be dropping the Green Express scheme that was expected for the next generation of express buses.

Express Testing & Evaluation Update: The Alexander-Dennis went back and the D45 CRT LE is now pending.

For express buses, I'm not sure if it's a sign, but for Transport of Rockland, the next buses for the Tappan ZEExpress are in a variation of the MTA scheme with blue and gold...a ghost wave scheme where the blue and yellow wave are a ghost instead of bold (these buses are owned by the NYSDOT for TOR). Such could be done for the express buses as well and a large order of buses could be done in the future for the MTA and a tiny tag-on for both CENTRO (Syracuse area) and CDTA (Upstate Transit)...all in the same livery with one large state order.

You're a couple years late.

They have been putting up the ads on the trains for a few years now.

I know, but do kids look up and read the ads on the subway? They are more likely to see an add in front of a bus in BIG BOLD TEXT than in a slot on the ceiling of a train.

But kids see and ride the buses, that topic shouldn't be shown in front of 5 Y/O's

And it is the PARENTS prerogative whether or not they want to have "The Talk" at that age or defer it until they're older.

I personally got it at 5, funnily enough. Did I start going around blowing the town?

No. Why? Because I was five.

At the age you suggested, there is nowhere near enough freedom for any child to even have the chance to partake. It's not like there aren't a million more interesting things in the world to occupy the mind of a five-year old.

The NG's at Yukon are getting new "Museum Of Sex" Ads. Isn't that a bit inappropriate to put on a public bus?

They have run ads on MTA vehicles before. A few years ago, it was advertising a Funland touring exhibition. What I would ask though is: why is ad space not used on the front of express buses, or a full wrap on the back, or anywhere (other than Vision Zero ads) on buses in the new livery. That's a lot of wasted ad space if you ask me.

I saw several of these ads in Brooklyn today.

If not all of Brooklyn Division have the ad in front of buses.

The ad space is only on the front of buses. Would of thought this ad would be more appropriate for a rear ad. However, I’ve spotted this ad with most of the Brooklyn Division buses.

PS: are they finally slapping ads on those SBS NG’s at Yukon?

Haven't seen it so far.

They're all over the city. LaGuardia has had some fun sticking them all over the fronts of their buses.

The bus itself. There was going to be an Express version of the NY State scheme going on buses now.

Never knew they were considering that. I always thought of it, when seeing the new SBS schemes, and saying if restoring the two tone blue for those buses, then it would be cool to go back to the green for the expresses.

Also curious; with all the new RGB signs coming in, they had made them all the same amber color trying to emulate the monochrome amber of the older signs. But now, it seems they're tinkering with the color, and making it more yellow, some of them almost like a "lemon yellow". Does anyone know why they did that?

I wish they would do like Paris and cover the route number with colored squares/rectangles. This way, if a bus is short turning, you can make it easier to tell by only coloring half the square/rectangle.

And before people complain about readability, the letters/numbers in the square are colored and bordered appropriately and the route numbers are surprisingly visible when you see it in person. These RGB signs are being wasted in the current setup.

At least one 5-year-old has actually walked past that museum, too. Should it be forced to remove all of its signs or close down?

(Steps off soap box.)  Okay, let's get back to buses.

We have likely never met, and somehow, I still saw this action as I read it lol.

Lessons in pornography should be taught better than the kids seeing fights on YouTube, because that is the norm of that. On the 3 some lady told her kid to push another lady (innocent), over a seat on the train. The buses are the same way.

So if they wanna put porn ads on the buses, by all means, go right ahead
