A legitimate question...really.

Not trying to make a joke, but for the current/former Motormen/Conductors, if you are working on your shift, let's say working the J Line and you are between the 111 Street Station and the 102-104 Sts Station and suddenly Mother Nature hits you. What can you do to take care of your situation? We've all had something "hit" us at bad times and I was curious what the MTA says about bathroom breaks during a shift?

Its not against the rules to take a comfort, at most stations there is some sort of facilities maintained by station dept, most crew members try to hold it until they reach a station where's there's RTO personnel (tower, terminal, etc). A few (males) carry a bottle which they can dispose of (usually t/o but sometimes c/r too), other c/r simply go in between the cabs in between stations in the tunnel when the train is going fast (ensures no one on roadbed), often waiting for express runs.

WOW!! That's crazy! Imagine they put in a small bathroom inside the R160's (LOL JK)
