Visiting family out there was fun, but riding NYC subways and Metro-North was even better! My grandmother's home sits parallel to the Harlem line in Scarsdale and there were plenty of train-watching opportunities! But, of course coming back home to Phoenix where we had no trains until METRO came about in late 2008. While I'm glad we have some form of transit here, it's still kind of ridiculous to go at 35 mph everywhere.
