Which R160A/R160B service is the best?

Are you trying to say where are the R160s best with the lines they are on now?

If so, it'll be the (N) hands down.

The (N) with the R160B is the best. The (L) and (M) R160A cars are also great too. The cleanest R160A I've ridden on was the (M) #8445 and R160B on the (N) # 8927. Wow that R160B on the (N) smelled like lemons.

Those are newer cars so thats why it'll be cleaner, even though they've been around for abit already.

(A)(M) and (N)

(A) cause i lived @ lefferts blvd and I caught the R160A and B multiple times on weekends when all trains were going to lefferts. Also catching the 30 day test train every morning at 10am @ hoyt/schmerhorn.

(M) cause it makes the 4th ave line a bit more diverse and more interesting, catching a Siemens (N) and alstom (M) would be an awesome sight

(N) No reason, it just is

8943 has a graffitti!!!! ahhhh! I saw it Canal this morning. None the less, I like the R160B on the N

The (N)'s information on R160 cars really need some fixing, the displays are sometimes inaccurate. The (N) R160B cars sometimes has (D) and (Q) information.

The (L)(M)(Z) R160 cars' information is always accurate, but I did see one R160A on (M) with (V) information.

(A)it is my favorite train line no doubt.

If you like the R160's to run on the (A) you'd have to wait another year until the option orders of the R160A's and R160B's will be fully delivered. The (A) and (C) will be the first lines to get the option order cars since the (A) used them in the 30 day test. I'd say March of next year.

News:

The (J) and (Z) trains will use the R160A's full time when the base order of R160A-1 (four car sets) are completed and are in full service. The (L) and (M) are using the R160A cars as well as the (N).

The (W) is using the R160B part-time.

The (Q) will get the R160B around this October or November. The (A)(B)(C)(D)(F) and (R) will use the R160 cars starting next year.

Keep your fingers crossed!

It is, especially it's just came into service when compared to 8713! Scratchitti is fine with me since they have those screens.

So I guess the (E) is stuck with R32s? Not that it's bad that they are; I personally prefer the 32s to everything, even the 160s, but just wondering.

Oh and the R160s on the (N), like someone said before, need some work. I've seen some frozen or not functioning FIND systems, broken (or simply not turned on) external speakers, and broken interior digital signs (the ones near the roof by the HVACs). Otherwise they're good.

I wonder where you get your info from?havn't heard anything that says the

R160A or B cars are going to the (A) or (C) lines.juat because ya see R160's

testing on the flats doesn't mean the (A) line will be getting the cars.

getting R160's.so maybe the (E) might get the R160 cars.

Just a side note. Since this is about R160s I feel this is relevant here.

Does anyone feel that the MTA is homogenizing the subway? All previous cars have had their own unique look and feel to them, but all the NTTs feel the same. They're nice and all, but I'd appreciate some variety.

Yeah, uh, how about no.

(A) is not getting R160s. Those option cars are intended for somewhere else.

Yeah, the R160s tested on the (A), but that was just testing. The (A) is sticking with what it got now.

The (D) is also not getting R160s. Concourse is going to stick with the R68s they have now.

Your posting a little too much wrong info.....

Even though this is the MTA and things can change with the snap of a finger, but they seem to know where they want everything to head to.

This has already been disscussed countless times, NO R160's are going to the (A)pple and ©harile Lines none zip zlich..

The (N)ovember uses 5 car unit R160A's thats correct and they still have to deliver about 60 more 5 car unit R160A's.

The (W)iskey will be Full Time R160's soon...

As for the other Lines i doubt the (D)elta will get the R160's or the (B)ravo..

As for the ®omeo i have heard "rumors" thats it..

The (N) first, and then the (Z), and then the (W), and then the (M), and then the (L).

(N)

(L)

(M)

(W)

(J) and (Z) once the line is totally ready.

(Q) when the R160A-2s roll in even though one set is here already.

What you posted is almost the order they started service on lines. The (L) was like the 2nd or 3rd.
