The with the R160B is the best. The and R160A cars are also great too. The cleanest R160A I've ridden on was the #8445 and R160B on the # 8927. Wow that R160B on the smelled like lemons. Also catching the 30 day test train every morning at 10am @ hoyt/schmerhorn. cause it makes the 4th ave line a bit more diverse and more interesting, catching a Siemens and alstom would be an awesome sight No reason, it just is

None the less, I like the R160B on the N The (N)'s information on R160 cars really need some fixing, the displays are sometimes inaccurate. The R160B cars sometimes has and information. The R160 cars' information is always accurate, but I did see one R160A on with information.

MattTrain 3,120 Posted June 5, 2008 Author Share #13 Posted June 5, 2008 (A)it is my favorite train line no doubt. If you like the R160's to run on the you'd have to wait another year until the option orders of the R160A's and R160B's will be fully delivered. The and will be the first lines to get the option order cars since the used them in the 30 day test. I'd say March of next year. News: The and trains will use the R160A's full time when the base order of R160A-1 (four car sets) are completed and are in full service. The and are using the R160A cars as well as the . The is using the R160B part-time. The will get the R160B around this October or November. The and will use the R160 cars starting next year. Keep your fingers crossed! 7LineFan 256 Posted June 5, 2008 Share #15 Posted June 5, 2008 The and will use the R160 cars starting next year. So I guess the is stuck with R32s? Not that it's bad that they are; I personally prefer the 32s to everything, even the 160s, but just wondering. Oh and the R160s on the , like someone said before, need some work. I've seen some frozen or not functioning FIND systems, broken (or simply not turned on) external speakers, and broken interior digital signs (the ones near the roof by the HVACs). Otherwise they're good.

7LineFan 256 Posted June 5, 2008 Share #19 Posted June 5, 2008 Just a side note. Since this is about R160s I feel this is relevant here. Does anyone feel that the MTA is homogenizing the subway? All previous cars have had their own unique look and feel to them, but all the NTTs feel the same. They're nice and all, but I'd appreciate some variety. Those option cars are intended for somewhere else. Yeah, the R160s tested on the , but that was just testing. The is sticking with what it got now. The is also not getting R160s. Concourse is going to stick with the R68s they have now. Your posting a little too much wrong info..... Even though this is the MTA and things can change with the snap of a finger, but they seem to know where they want everything to head to.
