I haven't: "Due to inclement weather, there is no train service in both directions from the 74th Street-Broadway Station to the 42nd Street-Times Square Station. As an alternative, customers are advised to take , or train service to and from Manhattan. Please allow additional travel time". Is it that bad outside? It's bad in the Bronx right now and based on Weather Channel radars Manhattan and Queens got the worst of it. I hope LIRR and Metro-North service is not delayed for a long time. LIRR is next to be delayed or shut down as most of their track is outdoors. I would stick to the or if stuck in this situation.
JubaionBx12+SBS Posted August 20, 2011 Share #5 Posted August 20, 2011 http://www.mta.info/status/serviceStatus.html This could be due to flooding from the heavy rain.

Shortline Bus Posted August 20, 2011 Share #9 Posted August 20, 2011 Hopefully 'full service' is restored on the Flushing line asap. Despite the thunderstorms/heavy rain, the Mets will play the Brewers tonight as game just got underway by time i wrote this.
R68 Subway Car Posted August 20, 2011 Share #10 Posted August 20, 2011 The rain shut down the whole line.
Cait Sith Posted August 20, 2011 Share #11 Posted August 20, 2011 Lightning struck the signals on the line. Shuttle buses are also running in two sections as I was told, between Main Street and Jackson Heights & Jackson Heights to Queensboro Plaza.
