I am jealous, lol! That's a neat set. My mom's friend bought a house that had I believe some old Lionel trains. Sadly the friend sold those trains, so i never got to see them :(

 

If it came down to a 'rare' train set or $500-1000 that I were to stumble upon, I would actually prefer the train set. These days it seems the older stuff are just very hard to find.

that's a true statement. I wished i had asked my uncle more about his British Army service during WWII. He served in the British Army from 1939-1945, North Africa and Europe--D Day. He told me lots of what he did during the war, but looking back i wished i had asked more questions.
