qjtransitmaster Posted September 22, 2011 Share #51 Posted September 22, 2011 Dunno. The amount of times I driven the 126H (I call it the H since it goes to Hamilton Park), there was only stragglers on the bus. Dunno if that is a good idea. Plus, from the way the cars are parked, it's incredible that there hasn't been any accidents using NOVA's, NABI's, FLEX's, and MCI's (And I mean the 45's.....why on earth NJT would allow a 45 in that tight area during the rush, I'll never know) wow it must be really bad do you think they should add more subways there??? Neoplan 3427 Posted September 22, 2011 Share #52 Posted September 22, 2011 I had some of my ideas. 468 to Wilmington ( I know some people needs to get to Wilmington to work) or 423 (Returns) to Wilmington Train Station connecing with Amtrak, Wilmington/Newark Line, Greyhound and DART buses, and Rodney Square. Since there are no bus conncet in my area due to the budget cuts. 423 had picked up people everyday since the service cuts.

Since there are no bus conncet in my area due to the budget cuts. 423 had picked up people everyday since the service cuts. How about we let DART have a crack at it if they have the BALLZ to try it via extension of DART 1 to salem via 468 rting then cut 468 and add service to 401 so former 468 ppl can use 401 instead. It WILL ONLY WORK IF IT'S A LONG DISTANCE CROSS ROUTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As those would create a grid-like system within gloucester and cumberland/ salem in a way read my previous post about new routes and you will know what I mean. don't get 553_Bridgeton started with the 423 SO true the 423 and it's route and service levels heck everything about the 423 was EPIC FAIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! UTTERLY USELESS. Heck I can think of a few more USELESS ROUTES one the 753 and 181(waiting for sirlapolka rant) hmm what else o wait the drumroll plz 772!!!!! It is now utter trash at least it's offpeak service. Ohh don't even get me started on the morris county FAIL LINES!!!!!!!! Everytime I went to morris to secret shop without using a car I can't remember one time when I needed those MCM crap lines. Let 47 become bidirectional the 11a's segment duplicates parts of 165 and the PVL trains so a reroute may be needed with another line to keep 11a rting to spring valley
SirJokaPlaya Posted September 25, 2011 Share #64 Posted September 25, 2011 Now, when I say this, I mean this with the upmost respect guys. I've done the 181 and 188. I've been on the 171, 175, and 178 with my friends at Market Street. The issue is that there's really nobody for GWB. I mean, I have to be honest. NJT or any company for that matter won't place buses in a place where there is no real need. It's a waste of money, tolls ($12 I last heard), and gas. The amount of times that I've done the 181 and 188, 75% was to cross the bridge and the rest to just get to maybe Fort Lee or Palisades Park/Edgewater. Granted, the summer time and winter times, it can get busy since Edgewater (188) and Garden State Plaza (171, 175) for shoppers, but there's no bodies. No people, no cash - no cash - no money for fuel and other items needed - meaning why have service where it's not needed? Sometimes, I wonder when will NJT pull out of the GWB station? Yes, I know people like the direct service to 178th street instead of taking a PA-42nd street bus and taking a subway to the 100's but I dunno. 171, 175, 178, 181, 182, 186, 188 - Seven lines. I dunno.

I dunno. GWB caters to bronx bound ppl from northern NJ. What is missing is direct to LGA via GWB however I'd rather shortline or rockland coaches try it. If GWB had no demand then there won't be jitney vans making a killing off of it. The subway to 100s is only practical if you are entering from south or central NJ. Heck the weak lines are the duplicates 181 and thats all. 186 may benefit by being taken off of teaneck and merging with NJT 756 while 756 east of teaneck can get axed. The 166 and 167 are crazy frequent and need no other lines on their corridors. One 753 and 772 are mostly useless then you probably already know. The heavy traffic on I-95 in bronx if coachusa can figure out where those ppl are heading then they can be sitting on a gold mine. Heck if GWB is so low demand why not have a terminal somewhere in the bronx to link with mta q44 and other major lines it can if done right help boost ridership on the SL LI service as well as trailways

FamousNYLover Posted September 28, 2011 Share #75 Posted September 28, 2011 That is just an extension of go28 DONE Sorry to tell you, it`s not extention of GoBus#28. I`m creating new GoBus between Newark Airport and College of SI via Bayoone-34th St HBLR Station, so maybe students and employees living in these areas could have direct access. Also student going on vacation that requires airplane, they could go directly with this new line. There will be TSP signal in EWR, Bayonne, and along S89 bus route to speed both GoBus, S89 Bus and Transport Athuma along the routes.
