R160 Exterior Ad?

Recommended Posts

Are they like 'stripe ads' that are on some IRT cars?

Yes just like this photo below...except a little lower on the R160 car

Still wonder if they're ever going to do the 46's like that. (With that blue Monroe ad, it would be just like the original appearance!)

I aw ads like this too yesterday on the (E) R160. I think it has something to do with (MTA)'s going increasing in advertising (not talking about ads form inside their buses & trains) but from the outside of their equipment.

Saw this set today going the opposite way as I was getting off the train at Bay Parkway. It was a matter of time before they started this.

That would be awesome! I miss the 46s and (well-now-OOS 44s) with the Blue Stripe.

So I've now seen these for the first time. The strip is usually all the way on the bottom, as to clear the external speakers. On one set I saw, it was a little bit higher, so that they had to cut out a round piece to fit around the speaker.

That would be awesome! I miss the 46s and (well-now-OOS 44s) with the Blue Stripe.
That would have been the perfect fix for the ugly gray band, but instead, they had tested on those some ad that covered an entire window (it was one of those see-through mesh wraps). Didn't even look right.

Guest MTA Bus

Today, I rode it on the (F). 6 cars of the train have the ads. The numbers are 9321, 9320, 9319, 9211, 9210, and 9209.

I wonder what took them so long to start doing this. This could generate quite a few bucks for the TA. Heck, they should even consider doing complete wraps identical to those done on the GCT shuttle.

Awesome Catch! Doesn't look bad at all!!!

IMO It doesn't look bad because UNIQLO ad is simple (red & black text with white background)

I saw that this morning as I rode the (E) to 7 Ave - it looks a little like what they're doing the same thing with the R160s as they're doing with the LIRR M7s.
