Second Avenue Subway - 9/22/2011 Update

On September 22, 2011, a tunnel boring machine (TBM) broke through rock just east of the Lexington Ave-63rd St. station, making the completion of tunneling for Phase 1 of the Second Avenue Subway.

 

Looks like tunneling is completed!! This is great, hope they finish in time!
