Severe Thunderstorms tonight huh

The storms just got done passing through Jersey City and boy those storms were bad. Half of the power went out at one time, then again knocking out whatever it didn't the first time, then a final blow that knocked everything out. The heavy part of the storm is over the Bronx and Queens about now moving towards Connecticut.

 

All airports are on Ground stop. EWR is starting to come back to life. JFK also but not as fast as EWR. LGA is on ground stop most definately and going to stay that way for a while.

 

Temps here dropped to 73 degrees from 91 in about 5 minutes.

Metro north tracks have trees down on them,, and debris are blocking some of the elevated lines in manhattan. PATH line got struck by lighting which fried a signal took them an hour to fix now operating with 20 minute delays.

 

It's not over yet.

It wasn't that bad in BK - or at least in my neighborhood. It drizzled for about 5 minutes and it wasn't that windy. It did cool off though B)

We got slammed here with 80 mph winds and dime sized hail and driving pouring rain.

I lost my cable/phone/internet from 10:50 p.m. Tuesday until 2:10 p.m. Thursday on account of the storm.
