davemackey Posted March 12, 2018 Share #2201 Posted March 12, 2018 18079 on the 553. Still haven't seen 18080 which is the last bus for now. I think we're on a bit of a hiatus with new buses.

8037TWP Posted March 13, 2018 Share #2204 Posted March 13, 2018 Egg Harbor now has 8007, 8271, 8286, and 8007 from Twp. They've transferred at least 4008, 4015, 4034, and 4039 to Ironbound. Meanwhile, just to help keep track, the following 7400s have been reactivated: For Oradell: 7402, '05, '11' 12' and 15. For Ironbound: 7403.

Surprised that there is still a shortage in Washington Twp even with all of the 18000s and with 16003 there too; 3 Newton Avenue MCIs covering tonight: 7546 on the 554; 7564 on the 551 and 7548 was on the 406 during the rush hour earlier. It is funny because 4 old MCIs were just transferred to Camden (7512, 7520, 7526 and 7528).

Tranzitfan81 Posted March 18, 2018 Share #2211 Posted March 18, 2018 Atlantic County also has 18094 running on the 553. It looks like there are more new buses. I saw 18095 on mybus now earlier too.
busdude2 Posted March 18, 2018 Share #2212 Posted March 18, 2018 That is surprising 18080 was thought to be the highest number for now.
davemackey Posted March 19, 2018 Share #2213 Posted March 19, 2018 (edited) Going to look into that. I confirmed a few more VINs last week but only eight of them. Wondering if these are finally the Detroit Diesel engines. If you spot any of them & you get me the license plate I can have them confirmed. Thx! davemackey Posted March 19, 2018 Share #2215 Posted March 19, 2018 Yes we have a bunch of new buses. there is a five bus gap in the VINs - 14915 is bus 18080, then five D4505's came off the line, and we pick up with 14921-14936 CONFIRMED for NJ Transit and these are bus numbers 18081-18096. The reason we're seeing 18094 and 18095 is that most of the buses between 18081-18093 failed inspection due to no title, and 18096 also failed due to mechanical issues.

Probably at Ironbound being tested, and working any bugs/issues on them before they go to their assigned garage
