Meadowlands & Howell were probably place holders for the Buses until they made the infrastructure upgrades at oradell that’s just my best guess I was also told that they removed Stanchions to the bay doors or something to that affect  to make it possible for 45 foot Buses to fit

Why are they taking buses from Howell and meadowlands for oradell, when they retired all the Detroit’s from Howell , and most of the 7100s and some 9000s from lands are done.

My guess is they will get 22000s next year as well as buses from the upcoming 172 bus order. There are still 30 lavs left in the current MCI order, and they would probably go to Meadowlands.

Washington Twp MCIs are in North Jersey this morning ( Paterson/Wayne area)

18005 on the 190

18006-18008 are also at Wayne.

19053 is at Newton Avenue.

I don't see any oddities at Washington Twp besides them have to put NABIs on 406, 410 and 412 today.  What is the reason for the switch?  Washington Twp is already short buses.

And they only got 2 buses back in return.

18112&18118 are tracking at Howell.

17185 and 19177 tracking Washington Twp

Just confirmed all the 18000s supposed to be heading north 18001-18129

So I guess all 3 Southern Garages are getting new buses when the 22000s arrive?  I see they swapped some of the 19Ks between Camden and Wayne too which is strange.

Somebody must've made noise about 21033 & 21055 being sent to Oradell I see they are back at Howell

Howell's routes are fairly long distance routes, they need their newer buses, plus they're helping the 319 too.   I think they should have pulled from Ironbound or Wayne for Oradell, or perhaps trimmed the Coach USA 21K order to help fill Oradell's new buses first.  They probably should have also assigned those Saddle River leftovers (17063-67) to Oradell instead of sending them to South Jersey.   Glad Oradell is finally getting the new buses but it is at the expense of other garages being short buses now.

Transit is clueless on what they doing. They do dumb stuff at the wrong time. Why pull from other garages. Washington Twp lost about 6-7 buses and only got 2 back. Newton Av lost about the same but got the exact amount back. Egg Harbor is the 24hr garage that never stops running and don’t even have the buses to make service. The only thing that’s helping is that we are short on drivers so a lot of runs don’t go out. We got 17063 but that bus has no AC, and currently in the process in the shop fixing the unit. Apparently the AC belt came off during delivery.

AFAIK Academy's 21xxx (21277-21334) are still not yet built. I think it's still possible NJT decides to reassign them to NJT instead to provide buses for Oradell as well as garages that donated D4500CTs to them. We expected 21191-21240 to be assigned to Wayne at first, but turns out 21198 and up went to Coach USA, so I wouldn't rule out such a change again.
