mfs NJT459 Posted August 23, 2013 Share #1301 Posted August 23, 2013 Also just counted at least 20 CNGs in the "graveyard" lot by Meadowlands. I honestly thought private bus companies were gonna buy them and they could've had them retrofitted with DVD, video screens, and a restroom on each one, but I guess that won't be happening
Mkouassi Posted August 23, 2013 Share #1302 Posted August 23, 2013 Great, now I saw the 5418 on a 126 to Hoboken.

They're not officially scrapped until they're at Sims or County Wreckers, the lot by the Measowlands is a storage not scrap lot. theaveragejoe Posted August 23, 2013 Share #1304 Posted August 23, 2013 I honestly do not see that broker being able to resell them for reuse. I think they will end up for scrap after sitting around for a while.

I'm still scratching my head as in why is Hilton involved in the 126
SirJokaPlaya Posted August 24, 2013 Share #1307 Posted August 24, 2013 126 can use all the help it gets. Its gets way too crowded. Sardine can crowded. As for the 102DL3's that NJT retired, don't be surprised if Greyhound might want to take a look at a few since they need buses badly.

Too old for Greyhound, all the used accessible coaches that they bought have been newer.

Greyhound Canada could use them lol; they've been taking all the USA MCI 102DL3s that haven't been refitted with wheelchairs. (6000-series especially).
mfs NJT459 Posted August 24, 2013 Share #1311 Posted August 24, 2013 I'm still scratching my head as in why is Hilton involved in the 126 Ever since April, they added a pattern of short trips during the AM rush hour that begin at Washington St at 11th St

Orion VII 4 Life Posted August 28, 2013 Share #1321 Posted August 28, 2013 (edited) They dont have a choice right now.... The CNGs would NEVER run on the 64 or 68 nor were any of the D4000s we had. They can still run it 100% 45 footer. Edited August 28, 2013 by Orion VII 4 Life

Well until NJT can manage to score some new buses (since DesignLine is slacking bigtime), that's more than likely gonna become a regular thing.

mfs NJT459 Posted August 28, 2013 Share #1325 Posted August 28, 2013 I spoke too soon, there already is a bid out for a purchase of 84 CNG cruisers, and that bid is due by September 4th
