SirJokaPlaya Posted August 16, 2012 Share #26 Posted August 16, 2012 Most of the camden routes are mcis....In terms of the long distance routes. And as bz said its going to take a dead b/o to be made an example out of. We all know it takes one for something to be done. Sad to say but it will have to take a B/O getting killed for someone in NJT's upper management to wake up. I hope it never comes true.......... IronboundNJT Posted August 18, 2012 Share #27 Posted August 18, 2012 Some of the NABIs in Ironbound are testing out shields and from what I gather there is no push to get fareboxes on the MCIs......as hard as this is to say....it's gonna take an Operator to loose his/her life before something changes. Those shields don't have a proper locking mechanism they use some suction that can be opened if u take a left turn too fast and they don't stretch as far forward as the mta shields bcuz of the wayfarer....I had asked someone in bus operations training why the mci don't have farebox and they responded the doorway was too narrow even tho ny mci have them go figure
